Abstract:
The diaphragm keyboard comprises a baseboard from the bottom of which pins (11) project in vertical direction. These pins (11) pass through apertures (22) in an encoding plate (20) and extend beyond the surface thereof, thus presenting spacers for a diaphragm (30). In addition, they serve for retaining and aligning the encoding plate (20).
Abstract:
A film containing a polymer such as polyvinyl chloride is rapidly and reliably bonded to a molding containing a polymer, wood or aluminum using a hot-melt adhesive by thermally activating the film by heating using electromagnetic radiation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for adhesive bonding a PVC surface comprising cleaning a PVC surface with an aqueous alkaline cleaning composition and applying an adhesive to the cleaned PVC surface.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic compound useful in filling pores and voids in wooden materials, particularly edge regions, wherein the thermoplastic compound comprises a blend of two copolyesters and optionally fillers, wherein the first copolyester has a melting point of 140° C. to 260° C. and a glass transition temperature of −10° C. to 80° C., and wherein the second copolyester has a melting point of 120° C. to 190° C. and a glass transition temperature of −70° C. to 10° C. Also, a method of filling pores in a wooden material comprising using a thermoplastic compound having a softening point of 140° C. to 200° C., an open time of 2 to 15 seconds, and a viscosity number of 30 to 150 ml/g, with the thermoplastic compound preferably being a blend of two different copolyesters, wherein the application of such thermoplastic compounds enable the surfaces of chipboard panels and the like to be smoothed in a continuous one-pass process. In particular, immediate aftertreatment such as milling is possible through the use of the thermoplastic compounds.
Abstract:
A single stage methanization reactor and process are made to yield a product gas of high methane content as well as useful superheated steam without overheating the catalyst bed in which a synthesis gas containing, CO, CO.sub.2 and H.sub.2 is converted into product gas. A variety of dispositions of vaporizer and superheater portions of the cooling system in the catalyst bed, for which the temperature profiles of gas and coolant along the reactor length are shown and compared, illustrate the principles governing the cooling system for such a reactor. A small portion of the superheated steam is mixed with preheated synthesis gas for elimination of all or part of the carbon monoxide content before the synthesis gas is introduced into the methanization reactor.
Abstract:
Air filters comprising thin-walled textile filter bodies have to be cleaned periodically. According to a method known to this purpose, the filtered material is loosened using pressure pulses in a flushing air flow. According to the invention, for generating the pressure pulses a plurality of small, quick-acting valves are in each case briefly opened, the opening moments being adapted to one another in such a way that partial pulses released thereby arrive simultaneously at the inlet of a flushing line common thereto.

Abstract:
An apparatus for washing out photopolymer printing plates by means of solvents, drying the printing plates and recovering the solvents, a conventional washout station and a conventional drying station being connected to a solvent recovery means integrated in the drying station, which consists of the following parts:a hermetically sealing drying chamber for the printing plates, having an adjustable hood (15) and stationary panel (16), with panel heaters (18a, 18b) inserted in the hood and panel,a system which is connected to the interior space formed when the drying chamber is closed and which consists of a heat exchanger (25) for cooling the solvent vapor/air mixture, formed by drying the printing plates in the drying chamber, and condensation of the solvents,a solvent separator (26) for separating off the liquefied solvents,a vacuum pump (27) and a buffer vessel (33) for sucking up the solvent vapor/air mixture and compressing the solvent vapor/air mixture,a heat exchanger (28) for increasing the temperature of the air circulating in the system, two three-way valves (31, 32) and connecting pipelines from the drying chamber via the individual units and back to the drying chamber.
Abstract:
A cable connector clamping connector comprises a plastics housing consisting of at least two elements having integrated therein a contact blade for contacting the ends of cable conductors which have been pushed into the housing. After inserting the cable conductors, the housing halves can be pushed together to lock, applying to the cable conductors the force necessary to press them into the contact blades for contacting. In order to make it possible for the user to check the depth of insertion in order to be certain that contacting is guaranteed in every case and with which, at the same time, a catch effect with respect to the outlet direction of the conductors is achieved, a resistance element, in the form of a plastics tongue, for tangibly signalling the depth of insertion of the cable conductor into the housing is provided in the effective insertion channel of each cable conductor, behind the contact blade in the direction of insertion.
Abstract:
A strain gauge comprised of a premagnetized ferromagnetic film wherein any change in length of the film is converted into a planar Hall voltage by employing the property of magnetostriction and the planar Hall effect. Alternately, a change in the length of the film can also be measured as a change in electric conductivity by employing the properties of magnetostriction and magnetoresistance. The strain gauge is deposited on a substrate by thin-film techniques and has a very high sensitivity.
