Abstract:
The switching contact arrangement contains a support or base (1), above it a layer of at least two tracks approaching each other at an angle, one of which comprises a switching contact surface (11). The other one (13, 13') is divided in the region of the switching contact surfaces (11) and their track sections, so that a space is formed there. An insulating layer is provided in the region of the track intersection to be formed. A layer (30) of electrically conductive material is then applied thereto, which has a recess in the region of the switching contact surfaces (11). This layer also serves as a bridge for the track intersection and as a switching contact surface for a switching surface (41 or 43) arranged thereabove and made of a flexible, electrically conductive material. In addition, the electrically conductive layer (30) serves as a spacer for the switching surface (41). A particularly compact switching contact arrangement is provided by integrating the switching contact surface and the bridge.
Abstract:
A multi-layer conductor plate consists of a copper-clad base plate (1) on which a first layer of conductor paths (2,3,4; 5,6,7) is formed by applying an etch-resistant, electrically conductive varnish at the respective locations. The copper layers not covered by the etch-resistant varnish are removed by etching in etching bath. Subsequently an insulating varnish layer (16) is applied at least in the area of intersections of conductor paths of the first layer and a second layer. A varnish adapted to be galvanized and preferably being carbonaceous is applied at predetermined locations and subsequently coated with a metal layer applied galvanically.
Abstract:
An apparatus for treating photopolymer printing plates, which have already been exposed, with liquid media, in which the plate, mounted on a vertically movable holder, can be moved up and down between an upper loading and unloading chamber and a lower treatment chamber, separated from the upper chamber by a partially open partition, and in which upper and lower rim elements of the plate holder seal the aperture in the partition in a vapor-tight manner when the plate holder is in its terminal positions.

One-component moisture-curing hot melt adhesive compositions based on reaction products from di- or polyisocyanates and polyether-polyols, crystalline or partly crystalline polyester-polyols and low molecular weight polymers from olefinically unsaturated monomers and optionally hydroxylated tackifying resins are suitable for high-strength and ageing-resistant gluing of profiles of plastics to one- or multilayer acrylate films

Method for producing a photochemical cell having at least one carrier substrate and a plurality of layers disposed thereon includes performing a plurality of successive printing operations for applying the layers; a photochemical cell produced by the method; and equipment for performing the method.
Abstract:
A strain gauge comprised of a premagnetized ferromagnetic film wherein any change in length of the film can be measured by employing the properties of magnetostriction and magnetoresistance. The strain gauge is deposited on a substrate by thin-film techniques and has a very high sensitivity. Preferably, two electrically insulated strips parallel strips of amorphous metal film have (in the absence of strain) respective directions of magnetization aligned antiparallel to one another and are connected electrically at one end. Such an arrangement facilitates the reversion of the magnetization back to its easy direction when the stress causing the strain is removed.
Abstract:
Cast iron with a vermicular graphite structure is produced by a process which involves the steps of determining the ratio of magnesium to sulphur in the melt and then adjusting the value of such ratio to between about 0.8 and 2.5.
Abstract:
Air filters comprising thin-walled textile filter bodies have to be cleaned periodically. According to a method known to this purpose, the filtered material is loosened using pressure pulses in a flushing air flow. According to the invention, for generating the pressure pulses a plurality of small, quick-acting valves are in each case briefly opened, the opening moments being adapted to one another in such a way that partial pulses released thereby arrive simultaneously at the inlet of a flushing line common thereto.

Abstract:
A process of bonding a plastic is provided. The process comprises applying to a plastic surface an aqueous dispersion of a hydroxyl-functional polyurethane prepolymer obtained by:(1) reaction of:a polyol component containing a polyester polyol,a compound selected from the group of compounds containing groups capable of salt formation and at least two isocyanate-reactive groups,an isocyanate component in a stoichiometric excess, at least 20% by weight of said component consisting of tetramethyl xylylene diisocyanate, and(2) subsequent dispersion in water and at least partial reaction of the remaining NCO groups with an aminoalcohol and, optionally, subsequent chain extension. The process further comprises drying said applied aqueous dispersion to form a primer and bonding said plastic surface having said primer to a part to be joined thereto. The process is particularly useful for priming plastics such as polyvinyl chloride.
