摘要： Described are methods and systems for dynamically reallocating memory amongst virtual machines executing within a virtualization environment. A computer can execute a virtualization environment that can include one or more virtual machines and that can include a memory manager. The memory manager can dynamically reallocate memory by identifying a maximum and minimum memory value for each virtual machine, determining a target memory value for each virtual machine using the maximum and minimum memory value, and identifying one or more virtual machines that have an actual memory usage value that is less than the target memory value calculated for those virtual machines. To re-allocate the memory, the memory manager can allocate additional memory to the identified virtual machines by inflating a balloon driver, then de-allocate the additional memory, and reallocate the de-allocated, additional memory to other virtual machines within the virtualization environment.

One embodiment of the system comprises a voice message recorder configured to record a voice message, and a call controller configured to attach the recorded voice message to an electronic message and forward the electronic message to a predetermined forwarding address. One embodiment of the method can be broadly summarized as receiving a voice message from a caller in response to a pre-recorded voice prompt, recording the received voice message, and preparing and delivering an electronic message with the voice message attached to the electronic message.

摘要： A method and system are provided for creating and utilizing caller-specific memory locations or folders within a single voicemail box of a telecommunications network-based voicemail system. A subscriber to voicemail services sets up a plurality of caller-specific memory locations or folders within her voicemail box for directing incoming messages to particular folders. Preferably, the folders are specific to particular callers based on the caller directory number or caller ID. The subscriber assigns a given folder with directory numbers of callers known to be associated with that folder. When a call comes in to the voicemail system with a directory number associated with a given folder, the voice message from that call is directed to and saved in the associated folder. If desired, personal identification numbers (PIN) may be assigned to each folder to control access to messages saved therein.

A preferred embodiment comprises a plurality of voltage sources and a switching network (such as switching network 320) wherein outputs from the plurality of voltage sources are inputs. The switching network can couple the outputs of voltage sources (based on a mapping) with the same output voltage levels to reduce voltage fluctuation amongst power domains coupled to the coupled outputs. The coupling may be performed by a switching structure (such as the switching structure 215) that can controllably electrically couple two outputs.

摘要： An SRAM array and a dummy cell row structure is discussed that permits an SRAM array to be divided into segments isolated by a row pattern of dummy cells. The dummy cell structure avoids the use of special OPC conditions at the power supply line and block boundaries by providing a continuous cell array at the lower cell patterning levels in an area efficient implementation. In one implementation, the SRAM array comprises a first and second array block each comprising an SRAM cell having a first layout configuration, one or more of the dummy cells having a second layout configuration arranged along the row pattern associated with a wordline of the SRAM array, a first power supply voltage line connected to the first array block, and a second different power supply voltage line connected to the second array block. The first and second power supply voltage lines of the array blocks are further connected to the one or more dummy cells. Beneficially, the bitlines of the array may be continuous across the first and second array blocks and a dummy cell associated therewith.

摘要： An improved disposable glucose test strip for use in a test meter of the type which receives a disposable test strip and a sample of blood from a patient and performs an electrochemical analysis using a non-conductive integrated reagent/blood separation layer (17) containing a filler, an enzyme effective to oxidize glucose, e.g., glucose oxidase, and a mediator effective to transfer electrons from the enzyme. The integrated layer formulation is printed over a conductive carbon element (16) to form a working electrode. The filler, for example a silica filler, is selected to have a balance of hydrophobicity such that on drying it forms a two-dimensional network on the surface of the conductive element. The response of this test strip is essentially temperature independent over relevant temperature ranges and is substantially insensitive to the hematocrit of the patient.
