    Abstract: A height-adjustable support apparatus supports items above a user's lap while seated or reclining. The apparatus includes a bottom panel with optional pillow for resting on a seated user's lap, a top panel with upright rests configured to support items (such as electronic devices) at a desired angle of use, a four-bar linkage for moving the top panel between height-adjusted positions while maintaining a same horizontal orientation, and a lock engaging slots in the bottom panel for fixing a selected height-adjusted position of the top panel. Rests on the top panel are made of bent wire and can be selectively pivoted to upright positions for supporting devices, such as a cell phone, tablet computers, books, game displays, etc. A cup holder engages a rest on the top panel to support either a handled container (such as a mug) or no-handle container (such as a soda can).

    Abstract: A personalization system for vehicles uses a CD player and a keyless entry transmitter. The CD player outputs audible prompting signals including accessory operation choices. The driver selects accessory operation by pressing the "LOCK" or "UNLOCK" switch on the keyless entry key fob following an associated audio prompting signal. A controller coupled to the CD player receives a selection signal from the keyless entry key fob and associates the receipt of the selection signal with an index corresponding to the audio prompting signal last output by the CD player. The controller controls accessory operation according to the accessory options selected responsive to the audible prompting signal.

    Abstract: A directional courtesy light for a vehicle includes a reflector which is moveable with respect to a bulb between a first position for providing unfocused light to a second position for providing focused light. In the second position, the reflector can be tilted to direct the focused light in a specific direction. The courtesy light may include a lens to further control the light. The reflector is mounted to a bulb holder for translation with respect to a bulb therein and the bulb holder is mounted to a carrier attached to the vehicle for pivoting the holder with respect to the carrier. The courtesy light components snap together and snaps in place in the vehicle for quick assembly and installation.
