摘要： The present invention relates to combinatorial variants of a parent glucoamylase that have altered properties for reducing the synthesis of condensation products during hydrolysis of starch. Accordingly, the variants of a parent glucoamylase are suitable such as for use within brewing and glucose syrup production. Also disclosed are DNA constructs encoding the variants and methods of producing the glucoamylase variants in host cells.

摘要： The present invention provides novel Micrococcineae spp serine proteases having multiple substitutions. In particular, the present invention provides serine proteases having multiple substitutions, DNA encoding these proteases, vectors comprising the DNA encoding the proteases, host cells transformed with the vector DNA, and enzymes produced by the host cells. The present invention also provides cleaning compositions (e.g., detergent compositions), animal feed compositions, and textile and leather processing compositions comprising these serine protease variants. In particularly preferred embodiments, the present invention provides mutant (i.e., variant) proteases derived from the wild-type proteases described herein. These variant proteases also find use in numerous applications.

摘要： A method is provided for producing a painted article comprising: (a) preparing a lignin solution comprising lignin and a dye or pigment; (b) mixing the lignin solution with a phenol oxidizing enzyme; (c) incubating the mixture from said step (b) under conditions and for a time sufficient to form a solution of a desired viscosity; (d) contacting or spreading the mixture from the step (c) on an article to be painted; and (e) allowing the mixture to set onto the article by subjecting the article to conditions and for a time sufficient to form a paint on the surface of the article.
