    摘要: A process is provided for selectively producing diesel fuel with increased cetane number from a hydrocarbon feedstock. The process includes contacting the feedstock with a catalyst which has a large pore crystalline molecular sieve material component having a faujasite structure and alpha acidity of less than 1, preferably about 0.3 or less. The catalyst also contains a dispersed Group VIII noble metal component which catalyzes the hydrogenation/hydrocracking of the aromatic and naphthenic species in the feedstock.

    摘要: There is provided a process for redispersing agglomerated noble metals such as platinum over the surface of certain tetrahedral crystalline oxides containing oxides of aluminum and phosphorus. Examples of such crystalline oxides include aluminophosphate (i.e. AlPO.sub.4 s), silicoaluminophosphates (i.e. SAPOs), ELAPSOs, MeAPOs, FeAPOs, TiAPOs and FCAPOs. The agglomerated noble metals may be redispersed by containing the supported noble metal with a suitable treating agent such as a stream of gas comprising molecular chlorine.

    摘要: An improved method for removing organic residue from ZSM-18 which can be used during zeolite synthesis or with an as-synthesized ZSM-18. When used during synthesis, a minute amount of noble metal is incorporated into the ZSM-18. Alternatively, a noble metal-containing precursor is impregnated onto as-synthesized ZSM-18. Thereafter, ZSM-18 united with the noble metal is reduced in hydrogen at 200.degree. C. for about 1 hour. Next, ZSM-18 united with the noble metal is calcined at 300.degree. C. for 10-24 hours, and subsequently at 500.degree. C. for 1-3 hours thereby producing a ZSM-18 material that is free of organic residue.

    摘要: Certain organometallic precursors selectively interact with surface hydroxyl groups on an inorganic oxide support such as silica, alumina or silica-alumina or to provide a uniform distribution of metal complexes on the surfaces of said support. Subsequent reduction of the support results in a high dispersion of uncomplexed metal centers to which other organometallic precursors are subsequently attached. The substantially attached organometallic precursors may be reduced and/or sulfided to yield a highly active hydrogenation catalyst having a plurality of metal species in a highly dispersed distribution.
