摘要: A method is provided for applying a self-fluxing, self-bonding alloy coating of a hard facing alloy in powder form to a ferrous metal plate or substrate of melting point substantially higher than that of the hard facing alloy. The method comprises providing a plate of a ferrous metal substrate to be coated in which a surface of the plate to be coated is cleaned, e.g., by grit blasting. A retaining bank is formed substantially about a predetermined periphery of the plate by forming a ridge of a predetermined height on the clean surface to provide a confining zone into which a powder of the hard facing alloy is smoothly applied to a predetermined thickness to provide a composite of the alloy powder and the substrate. The powder may have an average particle size ranging from about 40 mesh to about 400 mesh (U.S. Standard) e.g., about 80 mesh to about 325 mesh. Following the application of the alloy powder to the confining zone to provide a composite, the composite is heated under substantially non-oxidizing conditions at a temperature sufficiently high to melt the alloy powder but below the melting temperature of the metal substrate, and thereby provide a dense alloy coating bonded to the ferrous metal plate or substrate. The coated plate is then cooled under substantially non-oxidizing conditions to solidify the coating.

摘要: The screw motion mechanism includes: a threaded shaft having an outer peripheral surface provided with a helical thread groove, the threaded shaft having at least one axial end coupled to a first structural body; a nut member held in a rotatable manner with respect to a second structural body which is movable in an axial direction of the threaded shaft with respect to the first structural body, the nut member being threadedly engaged with the threaded shaft; and a spherical joint for coupling the at least one axial end of the threaded shaft to the first structural body, the spherical joint including: a spherical portion; and a sphere receiving portion for housing the spherical portion. When assuming an axial force applied to the threaded shaft as a variable, a line of a rotational torque intersects with a line of a sliding torque in a graph.

摘要: With a hydrodynamic bearing device 10, a first gap G1 is formed between a shaft 12 and a sleeve 11. A second gap G2 is formed between a sleeve cap 16 and the sleeve 11, and holds a lubricant 17. A thrust bearing member 21 is disposed near the inner peripheral surface of a center hole 16a of the sleeve cap 16. A third gap G3 is formed between the thrust bearing member 21 and the sleeve cap 16, and is open to the atmosphere. A fourth gap G4 is formed between the thrust bearing member 21 and the sleeve 11. The lubricant 17 circulates along a circulation passage that includes a communicating path 11b, the first gap G1 and the second gap G2.

摘要: An ionization chamber of an analytical apparatus (10) in which high concentration test sample ions are evaporated is provided with an ion introduction control means (8) to control the quantity of the test sample ions introduced to an ion attracting electrode (9). Therefore, an analytical apparatus can be provided that is capable of substantially simultaneous mass spectrometry and absorption, emission, and scattering spectroscopy. The apparatus also includes: a low temperature bath (106) which cools the test sample solution before it is introduced to the sprayer (104); and a cooling gas introduction tube (108), constructed separately from the sprayer, which cools the sprayer and the test sample solution introduced to the sprayer (104). The inclusion enables effective restriction of test sample heating upon high voltage application. Mass spectrometry and absorption, emission, and scattering spectroscopy can be substantially simultaneously carried out even when the test sample used is stable only at extremely low temperatures.

摘要: A QCM sensor including a sensor device, the sensor device having a crystal substrate, on both of front and rear surfaces of which a pair of electrodes are disposed so as to oppose with each other and the QCM sensor detecting and quantitatively analyzing components of a sample from either a variation in a fundamental resonant frequency or a variation in an impedance when a surface of one of the pair of electrodes is immersed into either a sample gas or a sample solution. The sensor device is arranged in a multi-channel structure such that four mutually opposing electrodes (11A through 14A, 12B through 14B) are disposed on both front and rear surfaces of the crystal substrate 10, each electrode being arranged to enable a fixation of a receptor which is different for each component of a sample to be detected and quantitatively analyzed, whereby the QCM sensor detects and quantitatively analyzes once the components of one sample different for different electrodes.

摘要: A damping device receiving viscous fluid in an annular gap between a housing and a rotary member within the housing and converting a dynamic energy of the rotary member into a thermal energy is provided. The damping device is constructed to make it possible to move a sealing unit for sealing the annular gap in response to a pressure of the viscous fluid, to change the volume of the annular gap to suppress an adverse affect concomitant with the pressure increase of the viscous fluid to the sealing unit and to enhance reliability and durability of the damping device.
