Disclosed are a polymer, and a mixture or a formulation and an organic electronic device containing same, and applications thereof, and further a monomer of which the polymer is made; the polymer comprises on its side chain a repeating structure unit E, characterizing in that its (S1(E)−T1(E))≦0.35 eV or even less, which may allow the said polymer having thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) property. Thus a TADF polymer suitable for printing processes is provided, thereby reducing OLED manufacturing costs.

Fragrances having a fresh character are usually very volatile and therefore not very economical in typical applications such as washing or cleaning processes for example. For that reason they have to be used in relatively large amounts in order to bring about appropriate effects. The present invention describes photolabile pro-fragrances that allow for a greatly improved persistence of the fragrance impression, in particular one having a fresh character, in typical applications. A more economical use of the fragrances in question can be ensured in this way.

The present invention provides methylene beta-diketone monomers, methods for producing the same, and compositions and products formed therefrom. In the method for producing the methylene beta-diketones of the invention, a beta-diketone is reacted with a source of formaldehyde in a modified Knoevenagel reaction optionally in the presence of an acidic or basic catalyst, and optionally in the presence of an acidic or non-acidic solvent, to form reaction complex. The reaction complex may be an oligomeric complex. The reaction complex is subjected to further processing, which may be vaporization by contact with an energy transfer means in order to isolate the beta-diketone monomer. The present invention further compositions and products formed from methylene beta-diketone monomers of the invention, including monomer-based products (e.g., inks, adhesives, coatings, sealants or reactive molding) and polymer-based products (e.g., fibers, films, sheets, medical polymers, composite polymers and surfactants).

Photolabile scent storage substance that are capable of photoinduced release of cyclic compounds have at least one cyclic double bond. These scent storage substances are special ketones, and enable greatly improved stability of the scent impression, in particular with a fresh character, in typical applications, for example in textile laundering, room scenting, and in the cosmetic sector. More economical utilization of the stored scents can thereby be ensured. Also described are corresponding washing or cleaning agents, scenting methods, and methods for manufacturing the special ketones.
