    摘要: Variations of this invention provide durable, impact-resistant structural coatings that have both dewetting and anti-icing properties. Dewetting and anti-icing performance is simultaneously achieved in a structural coating comprising (a) a continuous matrix; (b) discrete templates that promote surface roughness to inhibit wetting of water; (c) porous voids surrounding the discrete templates; and (d) nanoparticles that inhibit heterogeneous nucleation of water, wherein the discrete templates and/or the nanoparticles include a surface material with hydrophobicity that decreases with increasing temperature. The surface material may be a polymer brush exhibiting an upper critical solution temperature in water of 50° C. or higher. These structural coatings utilize low-cost, lightweight, and environmentally benign materials that can be rapidly sprayed over large areas using convenient coating processes. If the surface is damaged during use, freshly exposed surface will expose a coating identical to that which was removed, for extended lifetime.

    摘要: An insulated structure is formed by injection of a foamed thermal-insulating material created by foaming into a space between a plastic board and metal plate with a disposition of copper pipes. A non-halogenated organophosphorus compound having a molecular weight over 150 as an additive with an OH group as a functional group is mixed with the raw materials of the foamed thermal-insulating material including polyol, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst, a foaming agent having at least one component of hydrocarbon, and an organic polyisocyanates. By adding a non-halogenated organophosphorus compound, which has a molecular weight over 150 as an additive with an OH group as a functional group, the burning rate of the foamed thermal-insulating material becomes the same as that of the foamed thermal-insulating material which uses CFC11 as a foaming agent. Also, the possibilities of phosphor corrosion by free ionization to copper pipes, which are disposed inside of the insulated structure, are eliminated and phosphorus transfer to the plastic board and worries of food contamination are also eliminated.

In preferred embodiments the coating composition is dispersed in water, a fugative organic solvent, or is a powder coating.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a process for the preparation of an aqueous dispersion containing both a blocked polyisocyanate and a polyhydroxyl compound by reacting an aqueously dispersed polyisocyanate having an isocyanate content of at least 12% by weight, based on the weight of the polyisocyanate, with a monofunctional blocking agent which is more reactive with isocyanate groups than water at an equivalent ratio of monofunctional blocking groups to isocyanate groups of 0.5:1 to 2:1 in the presence of a polyhydroxyl compound which is either water soluble or water dispersible, wherein the polyhydroxyl compound is present in an amount which is sufficient to provide an equivalent ratio of hydroxyl groups to blocked isocyanate groups of 0.6:1 to 1.25:1.
