Abstract:
This application relates to methods and apparatus relating to an adhesive bond that includes an integrated release mechanism. The adhesive bond can secure components in a portable electronic device, such as a battery, to the housing of the portable electronic device. The release mechanism can be embodied as a thin layer of polymeric material sandwiched between a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer. The first and second adhesive layers are joined to one another by a number of pillars that extend through openings in the release mechanism. A portion of the release mechanism can protrude from the adhesive bond allowing a technician or user to pull the release mechanism out of the adhesive bond, which severs the pillars that hold the adhesive layers together. In this way, the release mechanism allows for efficient separation of the adhesively secured components.
Abstract:
A paint identification label apparatus having a rectangular shaped structure with a first side and a second side, wherein the second side thereof provides an adhesive having a peel back cover or film thereover. The first side provides a material that is adapted to be written upon via a writing implement, wherein the user can dispose the name of a paint color thereon for indication to users of the paint color in a specific room. The device can have several embodiments, wherein one embodiment can be placed over a light switch and another embodiment can be placed over a wall outlet plug. Thereafter, the user can place a light switch cover or wall outlet plate over the paint identification label for concealment until removed by the user.
Abstract:

The present invention and its embodiments can, among other things, enhance the overall performance in arm tasks conducted by the wrist, forearm and/or bicep areas, as well as hand tasks by, among other things, creating a high coefficient of friction on said areas. Embodiments can additionally benefit users to, among other things, protect an injury, and/or protect from injury, by offering embodiments with a therapeutic additive and/or shock-absorbing member.
Abstract:
A pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet includes a base material and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and is formed therein with a plurality of through-holes passing through from one surface to the other surface, wherein the base material comprises a resin composition, and the resin composition contains: 50 to 88 wt % of a polyolefin-based resin (A); 10 to 48 wt % of a styrene-based resin and/or an acrylic-based resin (B) excluding the polyolefin-based resin (A); and 2.0 to 30 wt % of a pigment (C). According to such pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet, air entrapments and blisters can be prevented or removed via the through-holes and the inner diameter of the through-holes is suppressed from expanding, and thereby the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet has a good appearance.
Abstract:
An adhesive sheet 10 wound into a roll includes: a long release film 11; an adhesive layer 12 provided in a label form on the release film 11; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive film 13 having a label part 13a covering the adhesive layer 12 and provided so as to be in contact with the release film 11 around the adhesive layer 12 and a peripheral part 13b surrounding an outside of the label part 13a, wherein a through hole 14 penetrating the release film 11 is provided in a place including a portion corresponding to an outside of a part 15 of the adhesive layer 12 intended to be attached to an adherend and an inside of the label part 13a.
Abstract:
An adhesive film laminate for wheel protection results from peelably laminating a plurality of sheets of adhesive film having an adhesive layer on one surface thereof. A pull-piece is formed protruding out from at least a portion of the edge of the laminated covered sections, and the covered sections of the plurality of adhesive films overlap each other at approximately the same position. A cover material that covers the covered section of the surface sheet of adhesive film is peelably pasted to an adhesive agent layer at one surface of the surface sheet of adhesive film, and adjacent pull-pieces of at least a portion of the laminated adhesive films are laminated having an overlapping portion at all or a portion of the facing surfaces thereof.
Abstract:
A heat-debondable adhesive article having two opposing sides is provided that includes a shape-memory polymer sheet in its temporary strained shape that includes a plurality of slits therein and a first adhesive on one opposing side of the polymer sheet and a second adhesive on the other opposing side of the polymer sheet. The provided article, optionally, includes a first substrate in contact with the first adhesive and a second substrate in contact with the second adhesive. The article can be debonded by heating the article to a temperature equal to or greater than a transition temperature for the shape-memory polymer sheet.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an adhesive unit for emblem, which includes: a plurality of double-faced adhesive pieces each having a shape corresponding to a shape of a respective one of a plurality of emblem pieces; a first release film attached to a face of each of the plurality of double-faced adhesive pieces to be adhered to an emblem, so that a mutual positional relationship of the plurality of double-faced adhesive pieces is maintained; and a second release film attached to the other face of each of the plurality of double-faced adhesive pieces opposite to the face to be adhered to the emblem. The present invention also provides a method of producing the adhesive unit for emblem, a jig for adhering emblem, and an emblem for adhesion.
Abstract:
A hand-tearable masking tape, comprising a plastic backing with a low adhesion backsize on the first major side of the backing and a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the second major side of the backing; wherein the second major side of the backing comprises a microstructured hand-tear pattern and wherein the low adhesion backsize comprises the reaction product of a mercapto-functional silicone macromer.
Abstract:
A healthcare form assembly is described which includes a carrier sheet, a release coating applied to the carrier sheet, one or more regions of pressure sensitive adhesive adjacent the release coating, and a printable facestock sheet in contact with the adhesive and being removably disposed on the carrier sheet. The printable facestock sheet includes a collection of cut lines to thereby form adhesive strips which can be readily removed from the carrier sheet. The carrier sheet includes one or more weakened separation lines that facilitate use of the healthcare assembly and in particular, removal of the adhesive strips. Particular features such as peel zones and fingerlifts are also described.
