Abstract:
A crankshaft and an mounting hole have two main circular arc parts on the same circle; and two connecting parts for connecting the adjacent main circular arc parts, and have a cross-sectional shape in which the connecting parts facing each other are substantially parallel. The connecting parts of the mounting hole are formed in the shape of a large circular arc which projects inward. The torque of the crankshaft is transmitted to the mounting hole in a state where the connecting parts of the crankshaft and the connecting parts of the mounting hole which are formed in the shape of a large circular arc come into line contact with each other; therefore, the value of any local stress generated in the mounting hole can be reduced.
Abstract:
A membrane actuator includes a magnetically actuatable membrane and a magnetic trigger. The membrane includes a shape memory alloy (SMA), and the magnetic trigger is configured to induce a martensitic transformation in the SMA, to produce a larger force than would be achievable with non-SMA-based materials. Such a membrane actuator can be beneficially incorporated into a wide variety of devices, including fluid pumps, shock absorbing systems, and synthetic jet producing devices for use in an aircraft. The membrane/diaphragm can be formed from a ferromagnetic SMA, or a ferromagnetic material can be coupled with an SMA such that the SMA and the ferromagnetic material move together. A hybrid magnetic trigger, including a permanent magnet and an electromagnet, is preferably used for the magnetic trigger, as hybrid magnetic triggers are easy to control, and produce larger magnetic gradients than permanent magnets or electromagnets alone.
Abstract:
A surface of aluminum alloy or iron alloy coated, on at least a part, with a lead-free copper-based coating layer comprising, by weight, 0.2–15% bismuth, and at least one metal selected from the group consisting of 5–40% nickel, 1–20% chromium, 1–20% iron, and 1–10% cobalt, the balance being copper which is more than 55%. The surface may be of a swashplate used in swashplate type compressors.
Abstract:
A metal gasket for a semiconductor fabrication chamber capable of preventing base plate metal contamination in the chamber, wherein the metal gasket includes a diffusion barrier layer interposed between a base plate and an anti-corrosive coating layer, and wherein the diffusion barrier layer prevents elements of the base plate from being diffused to the anti-corrosive coating layer. Accordingly, the diffusion barrier layer prevents attack on the anti-corrosive coating layer.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a sliding member which can slide for a longer period of time even in a dry state. In the present invention, the sliding member is provided with a sliding layer 3 containing 1 to 20 vol % of bismuth powder and/or bismuth alloy powder, 20 to 60 vol % of metal powder, and 1 to 20 vol % of a solid lubricant, the sum thereof being not more than 70 vol %, and the balance being a thermosetting resin. Therefore, a large quantity of metal powder and bismuth powder and/or bismuth alloy powder are mixed with the thermosetting resin in the sliding layer 3, so that the thermal conductivity in the sliding layer 3 is improved, and hence heat does not accumulate in a sliding layer portion, by which seizure can be prevented.
Abstract:
A swash plate-type compressor has a rotatable swash plate and a piston. The swash plate is made from an alloy of copper containing bismuth. The alloy of copper contains bismuth in a range of about 0.5 wt % to about 20.0 wt %. The piston is connected to the swash plate via at least one shoe and reciprocates in company with each rotation of the swash plate.
Abstract:
In order to improve the wear resistance of the swash plate of a swash-plate type compressor, on which plate copper alloy is flame-sprayed, a composite material, which consists of copper or first copper alloy (for example Cu—Pb alloy) including at least unmelted phase and aluminum or first aluminum alloy (for example Al—Si alloy) including at least melted phase, is flame sprayed on the sliding surface with a shoe.
Abstract:
A refrigerant compressor having a drive shaft rotatable to cause compression of a refrigerant gas, and a drive power transmission unit for transmitting a drive power from an external drive power source to the drive shaft, the drive power transmission unit having a pulley freely rotatably mounted around the drive shaft, a power transmitting element fixed to the drive shaft, and a shock absorbent rubber element arranged between the pulley and the power transmitting element for providing a positive engagement between the rubber element and the pulley, and between the rubber element and the power transmitting element. The shock absorbent rubber element absorbs a change in a load torque applied to the compressor before the torque change is transmitted to the external drive power source via the pulley, and disengages from at least one of the pulley and the power transmitting element when an excessive load torque is applied to the compressor to interrupt transmission of the excessive load torque from the compressor to the external drive power source.
Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to secure excellent slidability between a piston and cylinder bore even under severe running conditions.Cylinder blocks are made of aluminum alloy comprising, by weight, 1.5 to 5.0% of Cu, 13 to 16% of Si, 0.5% or less of Mg, 1.0% or less of Zn, 1.0% or less of Fe, and the remainder of Al, and exfoliated recessions of primary Si crystal exist on the inner surface of a cylinder bore. The large number of minute exfoliated recessions function as oil reservoir spots.
