Abstract: An LN storage tank is disclosed. The LNG storage tank includes: a lower insulation board for insulating LNG from the outside; a heating member placed on the lower insulation board; a main secondary barrier attached on the heating member; an upper insulation board attached on part of the main secondary barrier; and an auxiliary secondary barrier attached on the other part of the main secondary barrier, wherein a first adhesive layer may be interposed between the main secondary barrier and the auxiliary secondary barrier.

Abstract: Provided is an independent tank, and a manufacturing method therefor, for which local bending stress occurring on the vicinity of a boundary portion (welded portion) can be reduced without increasing plate thickness. An independent tank has at least one curvature change portion in which the curvature along the axial direction of plate members that form the tank changes along the axial direction. Both the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the plate member on the small curvature side are not flush with respect to the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the plate member on the large curvature side. The plate thickness center of the plate member on the small curvature side is offset toward the radial direction inner side or the radial direction outer side with respect to the plate thickness center of the plate on the large curvature side.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a cryogenic storage tank includes a manway formed in a body of the cryogenic storage tank. An inner manway lid is coupled to an inner wall of the cryogenic storage tank and disposed over at least a portion of the manway. An outer manway lid is coupled to an outer wall of the cryogenic storage tank and disposed over at least a portion of the manway. The inner and outer manway lids are configured to retain pressure within the cryogenic storage tank.

Abstract: Provided is a liquefied gas transfer device for reducing boil-off gas. The liquefied gas transfer device for reducing boil-off gas comprises: at least one transfer pipe formed in a vertical direction inside a quay for storing liquefied gas so as to transfer the liquefied gas; a branch pipe which is branched from a lower part of the transfer pipe to one side of the transfer pipe, and which has an end part opened toward a bottom surface of the quay; a valve which is connected to the branch pipe and/or the transfer pipe, and which opens and closes the branch pipe or the transfer pipe so as to move the liquefied gas from the transfer pipe to the branch pipe; and a resistance member disposed inside the branch pipe so as to interrupt the flow of the liquefied gas.

Abstract: A method for constructing a double-shell-structured cylindrical tank having an inner tank and an outer tank includes: a step of, inside the outer tank, assembling a first structure of the inner tank excluding a lowermost level of the inner tank by alternately and repeatedly performing raising of an inner tank lateral plate using a jack-up unit and attaching of a next inner tank lateral plate below the raised inner tank lateral plate; a step of assembling a second structure serving as the lowermost level of the inner tank on an annular portion provided on a base portion of the outer tank and configured to support the inner tank; and a step of assembling the inner tank by joining the first structure and the second structure.

Abstract: A new procedure for constructing cryogenic storage tanks involves erecting a freestanding metal liner. The liner is sized and configured to withstand the hydraulic forces the concrete wall of the tank being poured without the need for temporary stiffeners on the inside surface of lower portions of the liner. Lateral tension ties can be connected to anchor ties on an outward surface of the liner and used to tie the liner to outer formwork. These ties may be spaced up to about 2 m apart. Studs can also be provided on the outer surface of the liner, and a cylindrical ring of cryogenic steel can be integrated into the liner.

Abstract: Disclosed is a pump tower disposed inside a liquefied gas storage tank so as to supply or discharge liquefied gas to/from the inside of the liquefied gas storage tank. The pump tower, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a discharge pipe used for discharging the liquefied gas in the liquefied gas storage tank; an emergency pipe equipped with an emergency pump at the lower end thereof; a charge pipe for supplying the liquefied gas into the liquefied gas storage tank; and a support, which is provided on the bottom of the liquefied gas storage tank, for enabling the vertical displacement of the pump tower and restricting the horizontal movement and rotation thereof. The support comprises: a lower body fixed to a hull side; an upper body fixed to a pump tower side; and a wedge member interposed between the lower body and the upper body.
