Abstract:
To smoothly perform a shift change by the actuator with a simple structure, a drive motor M as a running drive source is connected with a drive motor electronic motor unit 103 through a FET driver 107. A change motor 61 for driving a shift drum 62 is connected with a change motor electronic control unit 111 through a FET driver 112. When a drive motor electronic control unit 103 outputs the speed change signal on the basis of the detection signal of an accelerator opening sensor 106 and a drive motor rotational speed sensor 104, the output of the driver motor M is temporarily reduced or stopped to release the meshing surface pressure of the gear trains of the transmission T, and during the period thereof, a shift drum 62 is driven by the change motor 61 for performing the shift change. After completion of the shift change, the output of the drive motor M is smoothly increased.
Abstract:
An automatic transmission has a hydraulic circuit which controls supply of engaging pressures to friction coupling elements. The hydraulic circuit has a first hydraulic passage having a hydraulic pressure control valve including an accumulator, a second hydraulic passage which is provided in parallel to the first hydraulic passage and is provided with an electrically controlled hydraulic pressure control valve, and a shift valve which selectively connects a predetermined friction coupling element to the first hydraulic passage or the second hydraulic passage.
Abstract:
A traction control system for a motor vehicle having driving wheels and driven wheels includes a device for detecting the speed of each of the driving wheels of the vehicle, a device for detecting the speed of each of the driven wheels of the vehicle, a device for calculating a slip value of the driving wheels based on the detected speeds of the driving and driven wheels, a traction control device for controlling the driving wheel so that the slip value of each driving wheel is equal to a predetermined desired slip value when the slip value of each driving wheel is greater than the predetermined desired slip value, and a device for estimating a friction coefficient of a road surface which is employed when the predetermined desired slip value is determined. If slip of the driving wheel occurs when the vehicle is started, the estimating device calculates an acceleration of the driving wheel. The friction coefficient of the road surface is estimated based on an engine output when the acceleration of the driving wheel is greater than a predetermined value.
Abstract:
Hydraulic pressure supplied to the frictional engaging element of an automotive transmission is corrected to a higher value in the event that the engine is started after a long standstill condition and the first speed ratio is selected, thereby reducing speed-shift shocks when the engine is started from a standstill condition and the first speed ratio is selected.
Abstract:
At the time of starting movement as well as at the time when a crawler type tractor, e.g., a bulldozer for performing a dosing operation and a ripping operation is held in a three-point grounding state, an output from an engine (10) is automatically reduced further from a normal cut-off state, whereby an operator is not required to depress a deceleration pedal (13). Consequently, a burden to be borne by him can be reduced substantially.
Abstract:
A method for controlling an AMT system (10) is provided including sensing the recovery mode of operation of the fuel control (26) and, if the fuel control command out signal (THCMD) from the controller (42) is less than the demand input signal (THL), increasing the value of the fuel control command output signal (THCMD) until it is equal to the value of the throttle pedal demand input signal (THL) at a rate dependent upon currently engaged gear ratio (GR) from an initial value dependent upon engine speed (N).

A heavy-duty vehicle system has a driving vehicle having a main drive, at least one driven vehicle having an additional drive, a sensing element arranged to sense road conditions, and a self-acting automatic control element connected with the sensing element and arranged to control the additional drive of the driven vehicle in correspondence with the driving vehicle and in dependence upon the road conditions sensed by the sensing element.
Abstract:
A drive system particularly suited for use in conjunction with a grinding mill is disclosed herein with a hydraulically actuated clutch of the oil shear type for transmission of driving forces to the grinding mill. A control system is also provided for selectively controlling the drive system and is operative to automatically accelerate the grinding mill up to full operating speed, to establish and maintain synchronization between multiple drive trains, and to provide a variety of operational modes including an inching capability, reduced speed operation, pendulum damping capability, and overload protection.
