    Abstract: An ignition control system performs discharge generation control, in which a discharge spark is generated, once or a plurality of times during a single combustion cycle. The ignition control system successively calculates an approximate energy density based on a secondary current and a discharge path length. During a predetermined period after blocking of a primary current is performed during a single combustion cycle, the ignition control system calculates an integrated value by integrating the discharge path length at this time, based on the approximate energy density being greater than a predetermined value. The ignition control system performs the discharge generation control again based on the calculated integrated value being less than a first threshold.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a device having communication with small gasoline engine igniter, comprising an igniter, a flameout switch and a communication device, and both the flameout switch and the communication device are connected to an igniter flameout port and an iron core of a reference ground. The unique voltage conversion circuit herein makes the signals at MUC sampling port more close to the required theoretical value, to ensure more stable and reliable communications. The design of key input and data display enables the communication device to be used alone without additional computers or other additional equipments, simple and convenient. On the basis of above igniter program, very simple circuit at extremely low costs is added, together with the MCU control program, the invention can have a single-wire bidirectional communication with an external device, so as to achieve operations of controlling MCU internal data of the igniter.

    Abstract: A handheld engine-driven working machine comprises an internal combustion engine with a throttle valve, a throttle adjusting device for adjusting an opening degree of the throttle valve of the internal combustion engine, and a control device provided in the internal combustion engine. The control device is configured to detect a rotational speed and an amount of change in the rotational speed at every at least one rotation of the internal combustion engine. The control device determines that the throttle valve is partially opened when the amount of change in the rotational speed is greater than a predetermined value.

    Abstract: A kill switch assembly for an internal combustion engine may include a housing, a first terminal carried by the housing and connected to a ground wire, a second terminal carried by the housing and connected to an engine microcontroller communication wire, and a kill switch. The kill switch may be carried by the housing, electrically connected to the first and second terminals, and manually operable by an operator to change the state of the electric switch to provide an engine stop signal to the engine microcontroller. The assembly may also include an electronic circuit carried by the housing, connected to the first and second terminals, and through the wires communicating with the engine microcontroller.

    Abstract: An ignition system for an internal combustion engine that utilizes a single primary coil and a single secondary coil to drive a pair of spark plugs. Current flowing in both a first direction and a second direction passes through the primary coil. The current flowing through the primary coil induces corresponding current in the secondary coil, which flows from the secondary coil to one of two spark plugs. Each spark plug is coupled to the secondary coil such that each of the two spark plugs receives current flowing only in a single direction. The current flowing through the ignition system can be from either a power source or created by the rotation of a flywheel having a series of magnet clusters.
