摘要: Provided is a flow rate controller. The flow rate controller calculates a resistor flow rate that is a flow rate of a fluid flowing through a fluid resistor, on the basis of a first measured pressure measured by a first pressure sensor and a second measured pressure measured by a second pressure sensor; controls a second valve on the basis of a deviation of the resistor flow rate from the set flow rate; outputs a first set pressure that is a target of a pressure upstream of the fluid resistor, on the basis of the set flow rate and a second set pressure which is a target of a pressure downstream of the fluid resistor and to which a constant value is set; and controls the first valve on the basis of a deviation of the first measured pressure from the first set pressure.

摘要: An air valve structure arranged on a base comprises an air plug and a state-switching component. The air plug is arranged in an air chamber in an axial direction. The air plug includes a closing state to close the air hole, and an opening state to open the air hole. The state-switching component comprises a driving member that links the air plug, a shape-memory alloy (SMA) wire connected with the driving member, and at least one conductive member connected with the SMA wire. The driving member exerts an acting force to the air plug based on a condition of electricity provided by the conductive member for the SMA wire. The direction of the acting force is non-parallel with the axial direction and the air plug is moved and changed between the closing state and the opening state by the acting force.

摘要: A fluid management system includes a housing having a central manifold in fluid communication with a source of pressurized fluid, a plurality of first ports in communication with the central manifold, a plurality of second ports in communication with the environment surrounding the housing, and a plurality of third ports each configured to be coupled to a vessel for containing the pressurized fluid. The fluid management system also includes a plurality of valves and a plurality of actuators, each actuator including a smart material and associated with one of the plurality of valves. In response to activation by an energy source, each actuator is configured to move the associated valve to one of a first position or a second position.

摘要: Electrical propulsion systems and related methods are generally described. In some embodiments, an electrical propulsion system may include an electrically-actuated valve to selectively permit flow of propellant from a reservoir tank to a thruster. The valve may physically isolate the propellant from the thruster when inactivated, exhibiting a non-wetting surface which may inhibit propellant from passing through the valve towards the thrusters. In some embodiments, a valve may be activated through application of a voltage potential to the valve relative to the propellant, which may change the wettability of the valve, permitting propellant to wet and subsequently pass through the valve. The voltage potential may be adjusted to vary the wettability of the valve, resulting in the valve effectively regulating propellant flow rate. The valve may include a conductive layer, a dielectric or insulating layer, and a non-wetting layer to enhance the non-wetting behavior of the valve.

摘要: An apparatus, system and method for regulating fluid flow are disclosed. The apparatus includes a flow rate sensor and a valve. The flow rate sensor uses images to estimate flow through a drip chamber and then controls the valve based on the estimated flow rate. The valve comprises a rigid housing disposed around the tube in which fluid flow is being controlled. Increasing the pressure in the housing controls the size of the lumen within the tube by deforming the tube, therefore controlling flow through the tube.

摘要: There is provided a method of controlling a powered air purifying respirator blower system to deliver a substantially uniform volumetric airflow to a user, the system comprising a fan powered by a battery in communication with a variable speed electric motor, the variable speed electric motor is controlled by an electronic control unit for delivering a forced flow of air through at least one filter to a user, comprising the steps of: (a) determining an estimated system run time by summing a battery run time remaining and a system run time; and (b) altering a speed of the variable speed electric motor when the estimated system run time is equal to or less than a desired system run time.
