摘要: Electrical contact system with a first and a second contact (1, 5), each having a contact surface (4, 8). The first electric contact (1) has a mesostructured electric contact portion (14) with a plurality of slots (15) and ridges (16) formed between neighboring slots (16) of the plurality of slots (16). These slots (15) and ridges (16) extend in a direction running transversely to said switching plane (X-Z) form a plurality of current paths (16). The current paths (16) are inclined to the first contact surface (4) at a first angle (17) measuring less than 60 degrees such that an interruption current (12) flowing through the mesostructured electric contact portion (14) and through an electric arc (11) extending in between the first contact surface (4) after lifting the first contact surface (4) off the second contact surface (8) pushes said electric arc (11) in the direction of the apex of said first angle (17) from a first position (18) to a second position (19).

摘要: In some embodiments, a method is provided that includes (1) providing aluminum; (2) providing carbon nanotube material; (3) combining the aluminum and carbon nanotube material to form a current-carrying, aluminum-carbon-nanotube component of an electrical switch device; and (4) assembling the electrical switch device using the aluminum-carbon-nanotube component. The aluminum-carbon-nanotube component is formed so as to have at least one of lower electrical resistivity and greater thermal conductivity than a component formed of aluminum without carbon nanotube material. Numerous other embodiments are provided.

摘要: Processes for manufacturing touch sensors with one or more guard traces to reduce the effect of moisture damage are provided. One example process can include forming one or more guard traces between an edge of the touch sensor and the metal traces that route the drive and sense lines to bond pads. The one or more guard traces can be uncoupled from the drive lines and sense lines to protect the inner metal traces from moisture damage. In some examples, ends of the one or more guard traces can be coupled to ground by copper. In other examples, ends of the one or more guard traces can be coupled to ground by indium tin oxide or the one or more guard traces can be coupled to ground by a strip of indium tin oxide. In yet other examples, the guard trace can be floating (e.g., not coupled to ground).

摘要: A contact assembly for an electrical device and a method for making such an assembly are presented. The contact assembly comprises a substrate and a contact material disposed on the substrate. The contact material comprises a composite material comprising a refractory material and a matrix material. The matrix material has a higher ductility than the refractory material. The composite material further comprises a core region and an outer region bounding the core region, the core region having a higher concentration of the refractory material than the outer region. The method applies cold spraying a blended feedstock to produce a layer that includes the composite material described above.

The ensemble of particles is configured to form at least one complete conduction path from the first terminal to the second terminal.

摘要: A contact pin for a high-voltage and/or medium-voltage switch includes a contact tip of arc-erosion resistant material, a tubular support sleeve connected to the contact tip and a support core in the sleeve. The contact tip is in a forward region of the contact pin where arcs arise during use. The sleeve is in a rearward region of the contact pin, adjoining the forward region, where no arcs arise during use. A pipe contact includes an arc-erosion resistant annular contact and a support pipe connected to the annular contact. The annular contact is in a forward region of the pipe contact where arcs arise during use, and the support pipe is in a rearward region of the pipe contact, adjoining the forward region, where no arcs arise during use. Methods for producing a contact pin and a pipe contact are also provided.

The method also comprises providing an adjustment stop fixed relative to the lower mounting and forming a stop surface that interacts with a facing portion of the shaft.
