摘要: A novel polymeric co-initiator is disclosed comprising a dendritic polymer core with at least one co-initiating functional group as an end group. The polymeric co-initiators are useful in radiation curable compositions such as varnishes, lacquers and printing inks and are especially useful in radiation curable inkjet inks. The dendritic polymeric core is preferably a hyperbranched polymer.

摘要: A transcritical refrigeration system includes a compressor, a gas cooler, an expansion device, and an evaporator. Refrigerant is circulated though the closed circuit system. Preferably, carbon dioxide is used as the refrigerant. A variable speed drive controls the speed of the refrigerant flowing through the compressor. Varying the speed of the refrigerant flowing through the compressor changes the mass flow rate of the refrigerant in the system to optimize the coefficient of performance.

摘要: A method and device for the treatment of anxiety disorder, including panic attacks. A hammer is used to tap the cutaneous region of the bladder channel on the back until the skin turns pink. The skin on the abdomen, arms, legs, and buttocks can also be used for treatment. The hammer preferably has a magnetic piece in one end of the hammer head. The method can treat anxiety disorder including panic attack, general anxiety, phobia, posttraumatic stress disorder, stress related tension headache, insomnia, and any stress. Patients can use the hammer to treat themselves at home, office, and during traveling. The method and device are simple, effective, nontoxic, safe, have no side effects, inexpensive, and convenient.

摘要: A refrigerant cycle is provided with a control for an expansion device to achieve a desired compressor discharge pressure. The system operates transcritically, such that greater freedom over compressor discharge pressure is provided. The system's efficiency is optimized by selecting an optimum discharge pressure. The optimum discharge pressure is selected based upon sensed environmental conditions, and the expansion device is adjusted to achieve the desired compressor discharge pressure. A feedback loop may be provided to sense the actual compressor discharge pressure and adjust the actual compressor discharge pressure by further refining the expansion device. The system is disclosed providing heated water based upon a demand for a particular hot water temperature. Further, the optimum discharge pressures may be determined experimentally, with an offset added to the experimentally determined value to ensure that the actual pressure is higher than the desired, or optimum pressure for the particular refrigerant cycle. In one embodiment, a formula is utilized to determine the optimum discharge pressure.

摘要: A method and system for identifying a configuration parameter of a “sick” computer system that is at fault for causing an undesired behavior based on analysis of configuration parameters from other computer systems is provided. In one embodiment, a troubleshooting system collects “suspect” values for “suspect” configuration parameters used by a “sick” application when the undesired behavior was exhibited by the sick computer system. The troubleshooting system then compares the suspect values to sample values of the suspect configuration parameters retrieved from sample computer systems. The troubleshooting system uses that comparison to identify one or more suspect configuration parameters that are likely at fault for causing the application to exhibit the undesired behavior.

摘要: A status notification system is implemented on a wireless network. In a standard manner, a network user initiates a communication to a “recipient” unit at the user's “source” wireless unit. If the call is unanswered, information relating to the status of the recipient unit is obtained and transmitted for display on the source unit. The displayed status might be “busy”, “in a meeting,” or the like, as determined by the system and/or as designated by the user of the recipient unit. The status information may be obtained from the recipient unit, by referencing a database record, or by determining the operational condition of the recipient unit. In another embodiment, when the status of a wireless unit changes, or when the user of the wireless unit changes a designated status, the change in status is transmitted to each wireless unit listed on a “buddy list” for the user.
