Abstract:
The electrical device (2, 202) according to the invention comprises a first electrical component (4) and a second electrical component (6) connected to each other via an electrical connection means (26) having an electrically insulating support plate (24), and a weld joint (22) deposited on the support plate (24).The weld joint (22) has a melting temperature (TO significantly lower than an ambient operating temperature (Ta) to which at least one of the two electrical components and the electrical connection means (26) are provided to be subjected. The electrical device (2) comprises a cement (28) that completely covers the exposed weld joint (22), the material of the cement (28) being chosen to maintain its adhesion and its tightness with respect to the weld joint (22) when the ambient operating temperature (Ta) is applied.
Abstract:
Novel antibodies and peptides relating to HIV are disclosed, as are vaccine compositions containing such antibodies and peptides. The compounds and compositions of the invention are of use in prevention and treatment of HIV, and in particular for inducing mucosal immunity to HIV.
Abstract:
The method according to the invention includes choosing a reaction presumed reaction mechanism; selecting, for said mechanism, at least one first function characteristic of a thermokinetic property that is invariant with the periodic variation frequency of a control parameter influencing said reaction, the first characteristic function being calculated at least from first-order oscillation amplitudes of the concentration of at least one of the species involved in said reaction. The method includes calculating a plurality of values of the first characteristic function from first-order oscillation amplitudes obtained experimentally and analyzing the calculated values of the first characteristic function to determine whether the first characteristic function is constant based on the calculated values, and if the first characteristic function is constant, assigning the presumed mechanism to said reaction.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an electrode for an electrochemical cell which exhibits good electron conductivity and good chemical conductivity, as well as good cohesion with the solid electrolyte of the electrochemical cell. To do this, this electrode is made from a ceramic, which is a perovskite doped with a lanthanide having one or more degrees of oxidation and with a complementary doping element taken from the following group: niobium, tantalum, vanadium, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, bismuth.
Abstract:
A method for the creation of a carbon-carbon (C—C) bond or of a carbon-heteroatom (C-HE) bond includes reacting a compound carrying a leaving group with a nucleophilic compound carrying a carbon atom or a heteroatom (HE) capable of replacing the leaving group, thus creating a C—C or C-HE bond, in which process the reaction is carried out in the presence of an effective amount of a catalytic system comprising at least one copper/butadienylphosphine complex.
Abstract:
This invention provides 2-, 6, and 9-substituted purine derivatives, particularly 2(1-R hydroxymethylpropylamino)-6-benzylamino-9-isopropyl purine, having, in particular, antiproliferative properties, and suitable for use as pharmaceutical compositions and herbicidal compositions. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions and herbicidal compositions comprising the 2-, 6, and 9-substituted purine derivatives, and methods of treatment using the 2-, 6, and 9-substituted purine derivatives.
