Abstract:
Systems, devices and methods are disclosed for racking circuit breakers in a switchgear cabinet via a drive mechanism that is flexibly linked to a racking mechanism associated with each circuit breaker. The drive mechanism can be connected for racking multiple circuit breakers without requiring re-positioning of the drive mechanism.
Abstract:
Technologies for reducing peak fault output current in a DC power generation system include a generator having a reduced damper winding and a controller to control a rectifier array to generate a DC power output. In some embodiments, the generator may have no damper windings, may have damper windings including a reduced number of damper bars, and/or may have damper windings having separated end ring mounts for each damper bar. The controller is configured to control the rectifier array so as to reduce oscillations of the DC output that may be due to the reduced damper windings. To do so, the controller is configured to generate the control signal based on an oscillation component of the DC power output. For example, the controller may generate an oscillation correction signal based on the DC power output and adjust a firing angle set point of the rectifier array based on the oscillation correction signal.

The signal handling device in the second enclosure is connected to the sensors in the first enclosure via electrical conductors passing through said sealed electrical conductor passages and to an external protection device via a communication link. The signal handling device receives electrical sensor signals from the sensors and shapes them for submission to the external protection device.
Abstract:
A method for actively damping oscillations in a compression process, the method being performed by a controller. The method includes acquiring process data from a compression process, performing oscillation frequency estimation of any detected oscillations in the process data, generating a damping signal based on the oscillation frequency estimation, and providing the damping signal to an electrical drive of the compression process.

The plurality of series connections of power semiconductor switching elements are connected in parallel relatively to each other.
Abstract:
A device including a high voltage apparatus enclosing a fluid for providing cooling and/or electrical insulation of the apparatus, and a detector for one or more physical properties of the fluid positioned spaced apart from the housing. The device includes a pipe assembly for housing a fluid, whereby the pipe assembly is arranged between the detector equipment and the housing such that the fluid is extended without interruption in the pipe assembly. The fluid in the pipe assembly is in communication with the fluid in the housing, and the detector equipment is in direct communication with the fluid in the pipe assembly. The detector equipment is positioned below a top level of the housing and at a safe distance from the housing of the apparatus, which makes it possible to carry out inspection, testing, maintenance, and calibration of the detector equipment without taking the high voltage apparatus out of operation.
