Abstract: A retrieval device may have a contracted state and an expanded state. The retrieval device may include a sheath and at least three support members. Each of the support members may have a first portion with a first cross-sectional shape and a second portion with a second cross-sectional shape different from the first cross-sectional shape. A proximal end fixed of each of the support members may be coupled to the sheath, and a distal end may be movable relative to the sheath. The retrieval device may further include at least three movable members movable relative to the support members. Each movable member may extend through a lumen of one support member of the at least three support members and through a lumen of a different support member of the at least three support members.

Abstract: A system for modularly assembling a scope device includes an optical module which has an optical housing and a longitudinal member extending distally therefrom. A distal end of the member includes a camera for visualizing a target area, electric wires and a light source extending from the camera to the optical housing. The system also includes a deflector module coupleable with the optical module. The deflector module includes a deflector housing and a deflector shaft extending distally therefrom. The shaft includes a first channel sized, shaped and configured to receive the member therein and a deflectable portion extending along a distal portion of the shaft. The deflector housing includes an actuator for deflecting the deflectable portion, the optical and deflector housings including corresponding connecting elements to engage one another when the member is inserted through the first channel and the deflector and optical housings are coupled.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a medical device for treating a cancerous tumor, the medical device having a first lead including a first wire and second wire; a second lead can include a third wire and fourth wire; and a first electrode in electrical communication with the first wire, a second electrode in electrical communication with the second wire, a third electrode in electrical communication with the third wire, and a fourth electrode in electrical communication with the fourth wire. The first and third electrodes form a supply electrode pair configured to deliver one or more electric fields to the cancerous tumor. The second and fourth electrodes form a sensing electrode pair configured to measure an impedance of the cancerous tumor independent of an impedance of the first electrode, the first wire, the third electrode, the third wire, and components in electrical communication therewith. Other embodiments are also included herein.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to systems and methods for intravascular lesion disruption. In an embodiment, a catheter system for imparting pressure to induce fractures upon a vascular lesion within or adjacent a blood vessel wall is included. The system includes a catheter configured to advance to a vascular lesion, the catheter including an elongate shaft that defines at least a first orifice for fluid flow; a balloon, coupled to the elongate shaft, that surrounds the first orifice where the balloon can expand from a collapsed configuration suitable for advancing the catheter through a patient's vasculature to a first expanded configuration suitable for anchoring the catheter in position relative to a treatment site; and a propulsion system configured to propel a fluid from the first orifice toward the balloon wall to create an inertial impulse in a vessel wall to transfer momentum to the vascular lesion. Other embodiments are also included herein.
