Abstract:
A walking assistance device having an ankle joint limited in a swingable range in a rolling direction, enabling a user to open his/her legs apart more easily. The walking assistance device includes a seating member 1, a pair of leg links 2 and 2 which support the seating member 1 from below, and a ground contact member 8 connected to each leg link 2 through an ankle joint 7. The ankle joint 7 has a coupling mechanism 100 which includes a joint shaft member 106 and a retaining portion which swingably retains the joint shaft member 106 in the rolling direction in a predetermined range φ. The joint shaft member 106 is inclined to an abduction side in the rolling direction from the middle position of the predetermined range φ in which the joint shaft member is swingable in the rolling direction when the walking assistance device is in an upright state.
Abstract:
In the present invention, the motion state of the wearable motion-assist device 10-1 of the doctor 1 is sent to the wearable motion-assist device 10-2 of the patient 2 via a network. Then, this motion state is applied to the wearable motion-assist device 10-2 of the patient 2, so that rehabilitation is conducted for the patient 2. Furthermore, the motion state of the wearable motion-assist device 10-2 of the patient 2 is sent from the wearable motion-assist device 10-2 to the wearable motion-assist device 10-1. Then, the motion state of the wearable motion-assist device 10-2 is applied to the wearable motion-assist device 10-1. Accordingly, the doctor 1 can objectively sense the state of the patient 2.
Abstract:
A walking assistance device has a drive mechanism, which is provided with a linear-motion actuator including an electric motor installed in the upper link member, nut members which are rotationally driven by the electric motor, and a linear-motion output shaft which linearly moves in the direction of the axial centers of the nut members, and a crank arm which is secured to the lower link member coaxially with a joint axis of a third joint and swingably attached to one end of the linear-motion output shaft. The drive mechanism is constructed such that a translational force output from the linear-motion output shaft of the linear-motion actuator is converted into a rotational driving force of the third joint through the crank arm.
Abstract:
A joint drive type link mechanism provided with a link including a joint portion at an intermediary thereof, and a driving source for the joint portion, wherein a link member configuring the link is mounted with the driving source and electric components used for the control of the driving source, in which the link is prevented from being heated by the heat of the electric components is provided. The link member includes an interior space in which the electric components are arranged and has the driving source arranged thereon with an air inlet connecting to the interior space and an exhaust outlet for exhausting the air passing through the interior space. Further, the interior space is provided with fans as well as a heat sink for cooling the air after air-cooling the electric components.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a rehabilitation device using a walking assistance device (1) having an actuator which generates and provides torque to a lower limb joint of a wearer wearing the walking assistance device (1), comprising a floor reaction force pattern storing unit (330) configured to store a reference floor reaction force pattern; a control target floor reaction force setting unit (340) for determining a control target floor reaction force based on the floor reaction force pattern stored in the floor reaction force pattern storing unit (330); a target torque calculating unit (350) for calculating a target torque of the actuator to achieve the control target floor reaction force determined by the control target floor reaction force setting unit (340); and an actuator output controller (150) for controlling output of the actuator such that the actuator generates a torque matching the target torque calculated by the target torque calculating unit (350); wherein the floor reaction force that the wearer receives is increased and decreased by the application of torque generated by the actuator.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device and method for assisting a subject to perform a motion such as a lift. The invention comprises a first anchor attachable to a first side of a joint of the subject's body, a second anchor attachable to a second side of the joint; and an elastic member connecting the first anchor and the second anchor, such that articulation of the joint in a first direction causes deformation of the elastic member and storing of energy, and articulation of the joint in a second direction causes relaxation of the elastic member wherein the energy is released and assists the subject to perform a motion in said second direction. The invention may be used at a subject's waist, ankle, wrist, knee, hip, elbow, shoulder, and/or at least one joint of the back and/or neck.
Abstract:
An operating status of a motor in a drive unit is analyzed to extend the life of the motor. A wearable motion assistive device 1 includes a shoulder joint mechanism 5 and an elbow joint mechanism 6 for aiding a movement of the shoulder joint and the elbow joint, and a control unit 100 having a control circuit for controlling drive units 11 for the shoulder and elbow joint mechanisms 5 and 6. The control unit 100 controls the drive units 11 based on a physical quantity and a biosignal detected by an angle sensor, a torque sensor, and a biosignal detecting sensor. A controller in the drive unit 11 includes a motor monitoring unit for monitoring an operational status of the motor, and a motor control unit for limiting a drive signal supplied to the motor based on a monitoring result provided by the motor monitoring unit, in order to prevent an overload state of the motor.
Abstract:
A novel device and method for use in providing multiple cosmetic treatments is disclosed, where a sanding tool is provided with sanding surfaces for use in imparting exfoliation, depilation, and cellulite treatments on the skin of a person. Select sanding surfaces are use for each of the exfoliation, depilation and cellulite treatments with the sanding action being generated by the orbital sanding effects of a palm sander. Specifically, a 100 grit (CAMI) sanding paper is used for exfoliation, a 180 grit (AMI) sanding paper is used for depilation, and the sander pad of the sanding tool of the present invention is used directly on the skin for cellulite reduction.
Abstract:
A lower limb function training device which the patient themselves can use safely with no sense of fear, which is used to prevent or improve a drop foot contracture or to expand the excursion of a joint while preventing the patient from using it over an appropriate amount of exercise to the utmost, which allows the patient to select the type of exercise, and which enables measurement of state of the body. Abstract:
The present invention describes the assembly structure of a massage device for a massage chair. The assembly structure includes an assembly frame that is divided into a first, second and third frame region. The first frame region is adapted to receive the assembly of a patting actuator block, the second frame region is adapted to receive the assembly of a sliding actuator block, and the third frame region is adapted to receive the assembly of a kneading actuator block. The massage device formed by the assembly of the different actuator blocks on the assembly frame has a reduced volume, and is easy to disassemble for repair or maintenance.
