Abstract: A module for electrocoagulation of contaminated water includes a first treatment chamber that submits the contaminated water to a first electrocoagulation current, and a second treatment chamber that submits the contaminated water to a second electrocoagulation current. The module also includes an intermediate chamber between the first and second treatment chambers that collects foam and precipitates from the first and second treatment chambers and that provides a passage for water exiting the first treatment chamber and entering the second treatment chamber.

Abstract: An inline intravenous (IV) fluid sterilization system can be located within directly upstream of the patient's access point, downstream of any breach points, so as to ensure fluid sterility. The chamber space between the walls is accessed by a fluid inlet port and a fluid outlet port between which the fluid flows. The inlet port is connected to a conduit/tubing from the fluid source and the outlet port is interconnected with a conduit/tubing that is free of breach points and interconnects to the patient access point. The inner wall allows for transmission of UV light into the fluid space. The walls define a space therebetween that is relatively small radially, allowing for a sufficient flow rate, but providing a large surface area and small fluid depth for exposure to the UV light. The UV light is provided by an elongated lamp within a cavity of the inner wall.

Abstract: Stormponds provide a secondary source of non-potable water within a community that can be treated within the community to remove contaminants, rather than at a regional water treatment plant which provides a primary potable water supply to the community. The treated stormwater provides a secondary supply of potable water to assist in meeting the potable water demand of the community. To address issues of public trust in the potable water supply, the secondary potable water supply is tested and compared to test data from the primary potable water to direct further treatment of the secondary potable water to address secondary considerations therein, such as a taste-profile, an odor-profile, a hardness of the water, pH and reactivity. The secondary potable water is treated accordingly to adjust the secondary considerations to be substantially the same as the primary potable water.

Abstract: An electrolyzed water processor chamber with an anodic chamber having an anode plate held in an anode tray, and a cathodic chamber having a cathode plate held within a cathode tray. The plates are charged by an electrical current, to separate an incoming water stream into its electromagnetically ionized alkaline and acidic components, across an ion exchange membrane sandwiched between the anode and cathode plate trays. The trays can include sets of ducts and cavities, so that when the trays are stacked together, with the cavities aligning to form plenums for the routing of water between the trays. The trays stack as modular units, so that any multiple of the anodic and cathodic tray pairs, with their plates and sandwiched membrane, can be stacked together and function as a combined processor chamber, with end caps mounted on the top-most and bottom-most plate trays.

Abstract: A system, components of the system and methods for processing, combinations of hydrocarbons, water, solids and contaminants, to separate extract, recover, filter and treat the constituent elements to enable the recovery of valuable hydrocarbons, the treatment of solids for environmentally sustainable discharge, the filtration and treatment of water for reuse, or environmentally sustainable discharge, and the extraction of contaminants. The integrated method and system incorporates alternative processing modes, each of which is optimized for the intake and processing of a materials stream which is predominately solids, or predominately water or predominately hydrocarbons, respectively. The system can dynamically adjust to accommodate variations in the composition of the intake materials stream in any particular mode. The system can be implemented in a portable, modular configuration which is cost effective, energy efficient and scalable to enable processing of any volume of materials.
