Abstract: A radiation-receiving semiconductor component is specified. A semiconductor body is formed with silicon and has a radiation entrance surface and also an absorption zone. Electromagnetic radiation passes into the semiconductor body through the radiation entrance surface and is absorbed. The absorption zone has a thickness of at most 10 μm. A filter layer is formed with a dielectric material. The filter layer covers the radiation entrance surface of the semiconductor body. A potting body covers the semiconductor body at least at the radiation entrance surface thereof. The potting body contains a radiation-absorbing material.

Abstract: The removal of partial areas of a coating (11, 12) on at least one surface (37, 38) of a glass pane (2) takes place by means of a plasma jet (14, 15) which emerges from a plasma nozzle (5, 6). The plasma nozzle (5, 6) is part of a plasma unit and two such plasma units are provided. Both of the plasma nozzles (5, 6) are oriented towards each other and form a pair of nozzles. A glass pane (2) is machined between both of the nozzles (5, 6). A distance sensor (23, 24) is arranged on both of the nozzles (5, 6), and said nozzles (5, 6) are positioned at the correct distance in relation to the surface (37, 38) of the glass pane (2).

Abstract: A calibration circuit of a driver control circuit which controls a plurality of input/output drivers of an integrated circuit comprises first and second voltage/current converters, first, second and third comparators and a voltage/current converter circuit. The first voltage/current converter with an external resistor provides a reference voltage to half the value of a supply voltage of the calibration circuit. The second voltage/current converter is connected to a first pull-down driver whose pull-down driver voltage is set to half the supply voltage. The second comparator compares the reference voltage with the pull-down driver voltage to provide a first calibration signal. The voltage/current converter circuit is connected to a pull-up driver whose pull-up voltage is set to half the value of the supply voltage. The third comparator compares the reference voltage with the pull-up driver voltage in order to provide a second calibration signal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing sulfur-containing compounds of the general formula I in which Q, R1 and R2 are each independently defined as follows: Q: —S— or —S—S—, R1: hydrogen or saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1-C30-alkyl radical, R2: hydrogen or saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched C1-C30-alkyl radical, where R1 and R2 are not simultaneously hydrogen, by reacting a mixed gas stream comprising hydrogen sulfide, with or without oxygen, with linear or branched C1-C30-olefins, which comprises carrying out the reaction in the presence of water and carbon dioxide at a pressure of from 2 to 325 bar.

Abstract: A card is equipped with a regulating drafting system at the card delivery arrangement. The measuring values for regulating the drafting system are obtained from the drafted fibre sliver. The sliver depositing device can be pre-controlled relative to the drafting system in order to keep the stresses in the fibre sliver between the drafting system and the sliver depositing device within limits. A fibre sliver storage device (11) is arranged upstream from the regulating drafting system (13) with relatively small capacity. In order to enable timely action if long term deviations are detected in the fibre sliver mass (m) delivered, a sensor (10) can be arranged between the card (1) and the regulating drafting system (13), and the base rotational speed (U14) of the drive (25, 26) of the regulating drafting system (13) can be adapted based on signals transmitted by the sensor (10).
