Abstract:
The invention provides a method, system and computer readable medium for providing a notification to a recipient. The method, system and computer readable medium relate to a notification sent via a processing device, the method including determining, for a recipient, a first notification method and a second notification method, generating a notification, and providing the notification to the recipient in accordance with the first notification method or, upon a failure of the first notification method, providing the notification to the recipient in accordance with the second notification method.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the management of vaginal health. In particular, the present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions, and methods of use thereof, for treating diseases associated with compromised boundary lubrication at the vaginal epithelium.
Abstract:
Described herein are methods for imaging ocular devices. The methods generally involve (a) applying a scattering agent to the ocular device; and (b) imaging the ocular device using optical coherence tomography (OCT). The methods described herein provide useful structural information about the surface of the device with high sensitivity.
Abstract:
A system, method and computer readable medium for providing automated notifications generates a list of recipients. The notification preferences of the recipients is determined and a notification generated and formatted in accordance with the recipients' preferences is communicated to the recipient. The notification preferences include a notification type, such as voice, email, SMS etc. The notification may be a notification of an overdue debt which provides the recipient with an avenue to make payment of the debt.
Abstract:
A technique involves providing a set of soft start power signals to operating circuitry mounted on a circuit board. In particular, the technique involves enabling (i) a first converter to provide a first soft start power signal to the operating circuitry and (ii) a second converter to provide a second soft start power signal to the operation circuitry. Additionally, the technique involves providing a first control signal that indicates whether the first converter properly provides the first soft start power signal, and providing a second control signal that indicates whether the second converter properly provides the second soft start power signal. Furthermore, the technique involves disabling the first converter if the second control signal indicates that the second converter improperly provides the second soft start power signal, and disabling the second converter if the first control signal indicates that the first converter improperly provides the first soft start power signal.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a colony counter and classifier for bacterial specimens on a petri dish. The device includes a housing having a tray which accepts the petri dish containing the bacteria colonies. A line scan camera is mounted within the housing above the tray. Upon actuation, a linear motor transports the tray across the scanning line of vision for the line scan camera. Simultaneously, a fiber optic illumination system illuminates the petri dish from its side opposite the camera. As the tray is transported by the linear motor, the line scan camera successively obtains an optical image of the petri dish containing the bacteria colonies. Each line scan has a width equal to one pixel and the resulting optical images from the line scan camera are combined together to form an overall optical image of high resolution. That image is stored utilizing a digital computer. The computer then analyzes the stored optical image to both identify and count the bacteria colonies. Advanced software is also used to differentiate between single colonies and two or more colonies which abut against each other.
Abstract:
A louver assembly and a method for installing the louver assembly into an opening in a wall of a structure are provided wherein the louver includes a frame which and a separate louver section which may be mounted within the frame after the frame has been mounted in the opening in the wall. The frame defines a central channel which extends from an interior opening to an exterior opening. The frame includes a frame flange extending from an exterior edge of the central channel so that, when the frame is in a desired position within the hole in the wall, the frame flange extends around the entire perimeter of the hole to seal the perimeter of the hole. The louver section is selectively mountable within the central channel so that it is prevented from passing through the exterior opening. When the louver section is in a desired position within the central channel, the frame is sealed so that air is prevented from passing between the frame and an outer surface of the louver section.
Abstract:
Acquisition and interpretation of reflections from a target in response to a Doppler radar probe signal from a seeker are inhibited by providing at the target a receiver, preferably a high-speed sweeping transceiver, which is operative to injection lock quickly to the probe signal and thereafter to repeat a low-power replica of the probe signal with frequency modulation of the carrier from the repeater with a deviation greater than the locking bandwidth of the local oscillator to generate a random aperiodic signal. The vehicle operator is notified of the presence of seeker signals to prompt the operator to verify compliance with vehicle operating regulations. The carrier frequency modulation is selected to be of a frequency and deviation sufficient to confuse phase locking and limiting circuitry in a seeker receiver and thereby to inhibit acquisition of an echo from the target.

A face-down lounge chair apparatus for comfortable face-down lounging includes a chair frame and a pair of legs coupled to the chair frame. A covering is coupled to the chair frame and has a face aperture extending from a covering top side through a covering bottom side proximal a head distal portion of the chair frame. A face pad is coupled to the covering top side around a perimeter of the face aperture. A drop-down tray is coupled to the covering. The drop-down tray has a plurality of straps coupled to the covering bottom side proximal the face aperture and a tray body adjustably coupled to the plurality of straps to go from a proximal position adjacent the covering to an extended position in parallel opposition to the covering bottom side.
