Abstract: Cationic polymers are provided that comprise monomeric units of Formula (V). (V) Each asterisk (*) indicates an attachment position to another monomeric unit; R is hydrogen or methyl; each R2 is each independently an alkyl, aryl, or a combination thereof; L is a linking group comprising an alkylene group; and +R3 is a cationic nitrogen-containing group free of any N—H bonds. Membranes formed from said cationic polymers, devices including such membranes, and methods of making such cationic polymers are also provided.

Abstract: Low dielectric constant curable compositions include a first alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer with 12 or more carbon atoms, a crosslinking monomer, a copolymeric additive of a polycarbosilane or a polycarbosiloxane, and at least one initiator. The curable composition is solvent free and inkjet printable. Upon curing the curable composition forms a non-crystalline, optically transparent layer with a dielectric constant of less than or equal to 3.0 at 1 MegaHertz.

Abstract: Curable, coatable compositions include silane surface-treated inorganic nanoparticles with a high refractive index, and a curable reaction mixture. The curable reaction mixture includes a first (meth)acrylate monomer comprising a high refractive index (meth)acrylate monomer with a refractive index of 1.6 or higher, a second (meth)acrylate monomer comprising a lower refractive index (meth)acrylate monomer with a refractive index of less than 1.6, and at least one initiator. Cured optical coatings prepared from the compositions are optically clear, having a visible light transmission of at least 88% and a haze of 5% or less, and have a refractive index of at least 1.78, and are capable of passing a 10 millimeter mandrel flexibility test.

Abstract: Curable silsesquioxane compositions, include three dimension networks of Formula I, Formula II, or a combination of Formula I and Formula II, where the oxygen atom at the * is bonded to another Si atom, R is a fluorinated organic group, R2 is an ethylenically unsaturated organic group, n+m is greater than 3, and the —OH groups are present in an amount of at least 15 wt-% of the network. The curable composition may also include a silanol-terminated fluorinated polysiloxane fluid. The curable composition is a coatable composition that is solvent free and wets glass. The curable composition, when cured, has a refractive index of 1.40 or lower.
