Abstract:
The present invention is an adhesive composition for stabilizing an electrical conductor. The adhesive composition includes a base polymer and an additive to interfere with photo-oxidation of metals. When the adhesive composition is in contact with the electrical conductor, the electrical conductor has less than about a 20% change in electrical resistance over a period of about 500 hours of light exposure.
Abstract:
A medical device including an array of microneedles and a coating disposed on or within the microneedles and a method of making such a device are disclosed. The coating includes a peptide therapeutic agent and an amino acid. A method of stabilizing a peptide therapeutic agent with an amino acid on an array of microneedles is also disclosed. In some cases, the peptide therapeutic agent and the amino acid either both have a net positive charge or both have a net negative charge. In some cases, the peptide therapeutic agent is histidine.
Abstract:
The present invention provides compositions, devices, methods and processes related to the intradermal delivery of PTHrP and PTHrP analogues, particularly [Glu22,25, Leu23,28,31, Aib29, Lys26,30]hPTHrP(1-34)NH2.
Abstract:
A composition includes an acrylic polymer, an emulsifier, and water. The acrylic polymer includes monomer units of at least one alkyl acrylate or alkyl methacrylate, wherein alkyl has at least 8 carbon atoms. Not more than one percent by weight of monomer units include a carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, or phosphonic acid, based on the total weight of monomer units in the acrylic polymer. The composition is an emulsion of the acrylic polymer in water. The composition is a spray adhesive composition and/or coagulates upon being subjected to shear forces. A process for making the composition and a method for making a bonded article using the composition are also described.
Abstract:
A composition is described comprising a styrene-isobutylene block copolymer; and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer. After curing the composition comprises polymerized units of the ethylenically unsaturated monomer. In some embodiments the ethylenically unsaturated groups are selected from (meth)acryl or vinyl ether. The composition is suitable for use as a (e.g. pressure sensitive) adhesive. Articles, methods of making an article, and methods of bonding are also described.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, an adhesive composition is described comprising a polyisobutylene polymer component, a styrene-isobutylene block copolymer, and optionally a tackifier. The polyisobutylene polymer component comprises one or more polyisobutylene polymers. The polyisobutylene polymer component has an average weight average molecular weight ranging from 15,000 g/mole to 300,000 g/mole. The weight ratio of block copolymer to polyisobutylene polymer of the adhesive composition is greater than 2.2:1. In some embodiments, the adhesive composition is a pressure sensitive adhesive.
