    Abstract: Systems and methods for augmenting and sharing data from audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices are provided. In one embodiment, a method may include receiving, from an A/V recording and communication device, image data representing an image, analyzing the image data to determine one or more objects depicted by the image data, based on the analyzing the image data, determining at least one comment associated with the one or more objects; transmitting, to a first client device associated with the A/V recording and communication device, the image data representing the image and the at least one comment, receiving, from the first client device, consent for sharing the image data with a geographic area network, the consent indicating a selection of a comment from the at least one comment, and transmitting, to a second client device, the image data representing the image and the comment.

    Abstract: An audio/video recording and communication device configured as a doorbell has a housing with a support structure and a removable faceplate. A flexible translucent membrane of the faceplate supports a button aligned with a mechanical switch when the removable faceplate is attached to the housing such that a plurality of light emitting elements are positioned around the mechanical switch transmit light through the translucent membrane. A removable battery casing is configured to hold at least one battery and has a release button physically coupling with a detent of the support structure to retain the removable battery casing within the support structure. The removable battery casing may be removed from the device for recharging without removing the device from a surface on which it is mounted.

    Abstract: Configuring motion detection by a security device. The security device includes a camera configured to capture images of an environment in front of the security device and a motion sensor for detecting motion within the environment. The system also includes a server and a client device that are interconnected by a network. An AI learning module interacts with a user of the client device to capture an image of the user within the environment in front of the security device, and determines parameters for the motion sensor based upon analysis of the image to determine a location of an exempt area relative to the security device. The motion detector is configured based upon the determined parameters.

    Abstract: Methods communicate among a client device, a network device, and an audio/video recording and communication device (A/V device). The network device includes a processor, memory, and instructions that when executed by the processor implement the method. An indication that an application associated with the A/V device is running and open on a display of the client device is received from the client device. Update information, when received by the A/V device, causes the A/V device to adjust a keep-alive interval from a first amount of time to a second amount of time shorter than the first amount of time. A signal from the A/V device is received, and the update information is transmitted to the A/V device in response.

    Abstract: A method for remotely confirming delivery of a package may be accomplished using a client device and a using a network-connectable audio/video (A/V) recording and communication device. The method includes initiating the two-way communication between the client device and the A/V recording and communication device. The method further includes receiving, via a user interface of the client device, an indication that a package is being delivered to a building associated with the A/V recording and communication device. The method further includes receiving, at the client device, information about the package and displaying, on a display of the client device, the information about the package. The method further includes receiving, via the user interface, an electronic signature indicating acceptance of delivery of the package. The method further includes transmitting, by the client device, the electronic signature to a delivery service server.
