    摘要: A linearly polarized light beam emitted from a first coherent light source is focused, as a primary beam, onto a preparation via an objective lens. A subsidiary beam emitted from a second coherent light source is a linearly polarized light beam having a plane of polarization perpendicular to that of the primary beam. The subsidiary beam is focused onto the above preparation as a double-humped beam having a center in the same position as that of the primary beam. The principal portion of the subsidiary beam is equal in size to that of the primary beam. The preparation is scanned with the two beams being superimposed on each other. After transmitted by the preparation, the two beams are separated into the primary beam and the subsidiary beam again upon passing through a second polarizing beam splitter so that they are detected individually by first and second optical detectors. Output signals from the first and second optical detectors are calculated by a differential calculator and displayed on a display unit via a second control means.

    摘要: A function of simulating change of weather and time in one scene by changing a sky area and an object area in a natural image while maintaining a relationship therebetween. The natural image is separated into a sky area and an object area excluding the sky area. The color of the object area is generated from a reflection model of the object, based on the color of sunlight, the color of a sky light, and a reflectance of the object. The sky light is determined by averaging pixel values of the sky area. The color of the sky light can be determined based on the color of the sunlight and meteorological conditions such as clouds and fog. The color of the sunlight, the meteorological conditions and the color of the sky light can be determined by specifying parameters representing time and weather. By changing the parameters, a simulation for changing the time and the weather can be performed on the entire natural image.

    摘要: A short-wavelength laser light source having a semiconductor laser for emitting laser light is provided. The light source includes a power supply for driving the semiconductor laser and thereby causing the semiconductor laser to emit a fundamental wave, a polarization inversion-type light-wavelength converting device for generating from the fundamental wave a harmonic wave having a shorter wavelength than the fundamental wave; and laser light feedback means for feeding light of the fundamental wave lying in a selected wavelength region back to the semiconductor laser, thereby achieving oscillation wavelength locking. Said power supply supplies to the semiconductor laser a high-frequency power containing AC components oscillating in a cycle short enough to cause the semiconductor laser to emit the fundamental wave in the form of pulsed laser light.
