    摘要: A shift control apparatus for use with a continuously variable transmission operable at a speed ratio changed in a plurality of steps for transmitting a drive from the engine to the vehicle wheels. The shift control apparatus is operable in the manual shift control mode for producing an upshift command in response to a driver's upshift demand and a downshift command in response to a driver's downshift demand. An upshift is produced from a current speed ratio to another speed ratio one step higher than the current speed ratio in response to the upshift command and a downshift from the current speed ratio to another speed ratio one step lower than the current speed ratio in response to the downshift command. The transmission speed ratio is corrected to keep the engine speed at or below a predetermined acceptable value. An upper vehicle speed limit value is set for each of the speed ratios to provide a greater first upper vehicle speed limit value for a higher speed ratio. The shift control apparatus is arranged to produce an upshift from the current speed ratio to another speed ratio one step higher than the current speed ratio when the engine speed is at the acceptable value and the vehicle speed exceeds the upper vehicle speed limit value.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for preventing supercooling of a latent heat storage composition comprising one peritectic salt hydrate selected from the group consisting of disodium hydrogenphosphate dodecahydrate, sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate, sodium carbonate decahydrate and sodium acetate trihydrate, water and a water-swellable crosslinking polymer. The latent heat storage composition has a constitution such that a temperature of secondary nucleation of the peritectic salt hydrate is higher than a temperature of secondary nucleation of a lower hydrate, and a part of the latent heat storage composition is always kept at a temperature the same as or lower than a melting point of the periteetic salt hydrate.

    摘要: A ratio control for a continuously variable transmission is disclosed. In this control, a speed sensor detects a wheel speed of a driving road wheel drivingly coupled with the continuously variable transmission, and the sensor output, namely a speed indicative signal indicative of the wheel speed detected, is used in conjunction with an engine load indicative signal in deriving a target value in a predetermined reduction ratio dependent variable, such as a turbine speed. Then, an actuator effects a shift in reduction ratio in such a direction as to bring an actual value in the predetermined reduction ratio dependent variable into agreement with the target value. During braking condition, the speed indicative signal may drop to zero or a small value owing to a wheel slip, resulting in a change in target value which causes a shift toward the maximum reduction ratio. For improved recovery from the wheel slip condition upon release of the brake, an estimated vehicle speed is used instead of the speed indicative signal in deriving the target value after the brake has been depressed.

    摘要: In a closed type thermal power generation plant, the fuel is supplied in the combustor and burnt therein in the presence of oxygen, instead of air. The combustion gas mainly including water component and carbon dioxide is delivered from the combustor into the turbine. The generator is driven by the driving of the turbine with the combustion gas as a turbine working fluid. A turbine exhaust gas is fed into the waste heat boiler to carry out heat exchanging operation therein and an exhaust gas mainly including water component and carbon dioxide from the waste heat boiler is fed into the condenser. The gas component mainly including the carbon dioxide is separated from the condensate in the water-gas separator and recovered without emitting the same in the atmosphere. The separated gas component mainly including the carbon dioxide may be fed into the combustor in a compressed state, or the separated gas component may be recovered externally to the plant without emitting the same in the atmosphere. The separated condensate is fed into the waste heat boiler to be subjected to heat exchanging operation therein and generate a superheated steam which is to be fed into the combustor. The separated condensate may be recovered externally.

    摘要: A shock absorber system for controlling the damping forces of shock absorbers comprising a drive apparatus for operating a piezo-actuator which is constructed by laminating a plurality of piezoelectric elements. The drive apparatus comprises a high-voltage generation circuit for generating a high voltage and a charging and discharging circuit for applying the high voltage, generated by the high-voltage generation circuit, to the piezo-actuator and for discharging an electric charge charged in the piezo-actuator due to the application of the high voltage thereto, the charging and discharging results in expansion and contraction of the piezo-actuator. Also included in the drive apparatus is an abnormality detection circuit for detecting a charging current or a discharging current passing through a charging or discharging current passage coupled to the piezo-actuator at the time of charging or discharging by the charging and discharging circuit. The abnormality detection circuit determines an abnormality of the drive apparatus when the detected charging current or discharging current is below a predetermined value.
