A cowl cross assembly includes a cowl cross bar positioned in front of a vehicle body, and a cowl cross half-panel joined to one end of the cowl cross bar. A part of the cowl cross bar made of a steel material is cut, and the cowl cross half-panel made of a plastic material is mounted to the cowl cross bar, thereby reducing the weight and the cost and reinforcing the strength to support the air conditioning equipment. In addition, the cowl cross bar can be easily joined to the cowl cross half-panel to improve the workability.

The user-defined inference rule is created using a knowledge base search language that is basically provided in a knowledge base management system. Accordingly, the user-defined inference rule is a knowledge base search statement and is processed using a function of searching a knowledge base as a base function of the knowledge base management system. The user-defined inference rule is applied by including a knowledge base search process and a search result in the knowledge base, when the knowledge base is changed. The user-defined inference rule is managed by a user-defined inference rule manager. The user-defined inference rule manager monitors a change in the knowledge base to determine when the user-defined inference rule is applied, executes the user-defined inference rule to obtain the execution result, and includes the execution result in the knowledge base.

A method for controlling a peripheral system (or a plurality of peripheral devices) and a fuel cell system using the same. The method includes: allocating an operation priority to the peripheral devices; storing information of the operation priority; and sequentially operating the peripheral devices by using electric energy stored in a small capacity electricity storage device according to the operation priority. The fuel cell system includes: the plurality of peripheral devices; an electricity storage device electrically connected with the peripheral devices; and a controller for sequentially operating the peripheral devices by using electric energy stored in the electricity storage device according to an operation priority.

The present invention features a thermal management system for a hybrid electric vehicle. Such a system includes a heater core supplies heat for heating the vehicle's interior by heat exchange between a coolant and air of the vehicle's interior, a coolant line fluidly coupling an engine and heater core so the coolant being circulated by a coolant pump passes there through. A bypass valve is located in the coolant line in proximity to the engine and is selectively opened and closed according to the on/off state of the engine and so that the coolant does not pass through the engine but passes through only the heater core in the engine off state. Such a system includes a heat exchanger fluidly coupled to another heat source so the coolant is heated by the heat exchanger and supplied to the heater core when in the off state.

A fuel cell system including: a reformer to convert a fuel into hydrogen; a reformer chamber to contain air heated by the reformer; a fuel cell stack to convert the hydrogen into electricity; a first pump to supply an oxidant to the stack; and a second pump to supply the heated air to the stack, to preheat the stack. The system may also include a controller to control the operation of the system, such that the heated air is not supplied until it reaches a predetermined temperature, and the oxidant is not supplied and the stack is not operated, until the stack reaches a predetermined temperature.

The light emitting device includes a double-sided light emitting element including a first light emitting element on one side of a substrate and emits light having a first wavelength and a second light emitting element on the other side of the substrate and emits light having a second wavelength, wherein the first wavelength and the second wavelength are different each other, a first variable resistor coupled to the first light emitting element and adjusting a first driving power applied to the first light emitting element, and a second variable resistor coupled to the second light emitting element and adjusting a second driving power applied to the second light emitting element.
