Abstract:
The present invention pertains to carpet and methods of making and recycling carpet. In one aspect, the carpet includes: a primary backing which has a face and a back surface; a plurality of fibers attached to the primary backing and extending from the face of the primary backing and exposed at the back surface of the primary backing; an adhesive composition backing; and an optional secondary backing adjacent to the adhesive backing. The method of making carpet includes extrusion coating the adhesive composition onto the back surface of a primary backing to form the adhesive composition backing. The method of recycling carpet can recover one or more polymeric carpet components.
Abstract:
A dynamic random access memory (“DRAM”) device includes a pair of internal address buses that are selectively coupled to an external address bus by an address multiplexer, and a pair of internal data buses that are selectively coupled to an external data bus by a data multiplexer. The DRAM device also includes a bank multiplexer for each bank of memory cells that selectively couples one of the internal address buses and one of the internal data buses to the respective bank of memory cells. Select signals generated by a command decoder cause the multiplexers to select alternate internal address and data buses responsive to each memory command received by the command decoder.
Abstract:
A DRAM circuit with reduced power consumption and in some circumstances faster memory array access speed. Input/output lines connected to a memory array are sensed according to their capacitance/length in comparison to a threshold capacitance/length. The out/output lines that are shorter, or less capacitive, than the threshold are sensed sooner than those input/output lines that are longer, more capacitive, than the threshold. Since shorter input/output lines are sensed sooner, they require less power and may be accessed faster.
Abstract:
Triglycerides and cholesterol in the bloodstream are important factors in the development in the development of cardiovascular disease. The present invention discloses a nutritional supplement comprising a sterol and an omega-3 fatty acid, or an ester thereof, for lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the bloodstream of a subject. Preferably, the sterol and omega-3 fatty acid are together in the form of an ester.
Abstract:
A DDR SDRAM where unidirectional row logic is associated with and connected to a single memory array instead of being associated with and connected to multiple memory arrays. The unidirectional row logic is located in the outward periphery of its associated array, but is not within a throat region between two arrays. The location of the row logic allows the throat region to include more bidirectional IO circuitry and signal lines servicing two arrays, which increases the performance of the SDRAM. In addition, separate power bussing is employed for the memory arrays and IO circuitry. This prevents noise from the arrays from affecting the IO circuitry and signal lines of the throat region and vice versa.

Abstract:
A transportable automated analyte extraction apparatus is provided which includes at least an extraction fluid supply in communication with an extraction chamber, and a collection vessel in communication with the extraction chamber, wherein the extraction chamber includes a sample cartridge. The analyte extraction apparatus preferably utilizes supercritical extraction fluids and a modifying reagent, collectively called the extraction solution, to extract analyte from a sample. The extracted analyte can then be subjected to subsequent testing.
Abstract:
A metehod and device for transurethrovesical biopsies, amniocenteses and other biological sampling procedures utilizing a double lumen catheter is achieved by the present invention. The catheter includes a rigid lumen to guide a needle and a second lumen able to pass fluid. In transurethrovesical sampling procedures, the catheter is positioned across the bladder with one end of the catheter against the bladder wall which adjoins the uterus wall. Fluids pass through the second lumen to fill the bladder and increase sonographic visibility allowing the user better visibility for precise placement of the catheter. Preferably, an amniocentesis or biopsy needle is passed through the first rigid lumen, through the bladder wall, through the uterus wall and into the amniotic sac to allow withdrawal of amniotic fluid or other biological sample. The needle may then be withdrawn through the rigid lumen and the catheter removed. In other biosampling procedures, the catheter is positioned across a body cavity to permit filling the cavity with fluid, sampling the target and sonographically viewing the biosampling operation.
