摘要: A cathode ray tube and a color selecting member, which can be manufactured without defects by using an existing projection aligner of a simple structure and can always produce a picture of high quality, in which phosphor layer has a pattern in stripes in the lateral direction of a screen, or in the horizontal direction and a color selecting member has slits elongated in the longitudinal direction of the screen, or in the horizontal scan line direction. Even in case of the thermal expansion of the color selecting member or a considerable longitudinal deviation between the exposure position at the time of manufacture and the position where an electron beam strikes in actual use, an electron beam can freely pass through the slits. Therefore, the accuracy of irradiation of the phosphor layer with the electron beam is not adversely influenced.

摘要: A blood analyzer system incorporates a conveyor for handling and transporting sample blood through at least one blood analyzer and an automatic blood smear generator under the control of a programmable controller. Blood samples are stored in sample containers having identifiers for the sample blood that they contain. These sample containers are transported through the system in protective racks that permit the reading of the identifiers. The results of analysis by one or more blood analyzers in the system determines the need for performing or omitting subsequent operations on a particular sample blood. When a smeared blood sample is to be made, the controller assures that the smear thickness is consistent with other samples regardless of the thickness or viscosity of the sample blood. If the system fails to make a required smeared blood sample, a detector sounds an alarm, warning of a system failure.

摘要: An image forming apparatus is provided with a latent image forming member for forming first and second electrostatic latent images on an image bearing member. A first developer forms a first visualized image by developing the first electrostatic latent image, and a second developer provides a second visualized image by developing the second electrostatic latent image. The second developer acts on the image bearing member after the first visualized image is formed on the image bearing member, and the second developer includes a developer carrier for carrying a developer to a developing position where the developer is supplied to the image bearing member. A vibratory voltage is applied to the developer carrier of the second developer. A controller changes a duty ratio of the vibratory voltage. The vibratory voltage has a first peak for forming an electric field to urge the developer away from the developing carrier toward the image bearing member and a second peak for forming an electric field to urge the developer away from the image bearing member toward the developer carrier. The first peak and second peak are alternately applied, and the controller changes a duty ratio while maintaining the second peak substantially constant. Furthermore, the controller changes the duty ratio by changing the first peak.

摘要: An electrophotographic method and apparatus is disclosed which is able to faithfully reproduce the half-tone portion of an original image on a photosensitive medium having an electroconductive layer, a photoconductive layer and an insulating surface layer. The present invention is directed particularly to improvements in the secondary charging step in the above method. According to the invention, the process of secondary charge includes the steps of subjecting the photosensitive medium to the action of corona discharge having the component of opposite polarity to that of the primary charge with simultaneous light image exposure, exposing the photosensitive medium surface to a light image while reducing or stopping the action of corona discharge and exposing the photosensitive medium surface to a light image while controlling the amount of corona discharge.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a memory and processing circuitry. The memory stores an identifier for identifying a defective page and an identifier for identifying a print job that includes the defective page. The processing circuitry determines whether print job data is data of a print job to be reprinted and determines whether a page included in a conveyance medium conveyed is a defective page, based on the identifier for identifying the defective page. The processing circuitry also performs control to eject a first conveyance medium including a page not determined to be defective to a first ejection destination, eject a second conveyance medium including a defective page to a second ejection destination, print an image of the defective page on a third conveyance medium, and eject the third conveyance medium on which the image is printed to the first ejection destination.

摘要: A heating device including a heating member, a heat source, multiple non-contact temperature detectors, a contact temperature detector, a heat source drive controller, and a temperature detection abnormality detector is provided. The heating member contacts a heating target being conveyed. The heat source supplies heat to the heating member. Each of the non-contact temperature detectors detects a first temperature of the heating member without contacting the heating member. The contact temperature detector detects a second temperature of the heating member by contact with the heating member. The heat source drive controller controls drive of the heat source based on the first temperatures. The temperature detection abnormality detector performs a determination on whether each one of the non-contact temperature detectors has an abnormality or not while the heating target is not conveyed, by comparing the first temperature and the second temperature.
