Abstract:
A motor drive for conditioning power to be delivered to a load includes a current feedback circuit that monitors current being fed to a transformer connected between the motor drive and the load. Based on the total current input to the transformer, a controller adjusts the V/Hz profile along which the motor drive operates. In this regard, the motor drive operates according to a V/Hz profile during start-up that prevents transformer saturation.
Abstract:
A lamp structure with a signal transmission alert includes a lamp seat and a transparent shade, wherein a concave space is located at a bottom of the lamp seat within which located a light and heat source. The light and heat source is connected to a personal computer via a USB signal line. A liquid containing transparent or reflective floating objects or other dynamic devices with changeable colors is filled in the transparent shade. The transparent shade is connected to the concave space in the lamp seat. The light and heat source can be driven with a power provided from the USB device to generate a heat during transmitting computer data, so as to form convection in the liquid in the transparent shade. The floating objects constituting a visual effect of exotic, dynamic, and versatile style is able to transmit along with the transmission of computer data.
Abstract:
A lamp structure with a function of candlestick primarily includes a lamp seat, a light source located at a top of the lamp seat, and both a battery chamber provides both a DC power source and an AC power source, enabling the provision of power source to the light source through a conventional AC, DC power source. A liquid containing transparent or reflective floating objects is filled in the transparent shade which is covered on a periphery at a top of the light source. A candlestick in a dish shape is located at a top of the transparent shade, for holding a candle. A visual effect of dynamic change is created to the floating objects by a projection of light into the transparent shade from the light source, and by heating up the liquid in the transparent shade from the light source, thereby increasing the interest in application.
Abstract:
A pipe clamp assembly that includes a v-band clamp and a v-ring. The v-band clamp includes a band that carries a T-bolt tightening mechanism and a v-insert. The v-insert has an inwardly facing concave surface that fits over radially projecting flanges on the ends of the pipes or other tubular bodies to be joined. The v-ring is formed from sheet metal and has a convex profile and fits between the flanges so that the flanges can be tightly compressed between the v-insert and v-ring during tightening of the clamp. The angle of the walls defining the convex profile of the v-ring can be greater than that of the v-insert so that the v-ring provides some outward springing force on the flanges during tightening of the clamp. The v-ring can have an indexing feature and one or more clips for pre-attachment. A method of making the v-ring is also provided.
Abstract:
A portable electronic device is disclosed. The portable electronic device includes a housing. The portable electronic device also includes computing electronics that are supported by the housing. The computing electronics include a processor, a display controller coupled to the processor, and memory coupled to the processor. The portable electronic device disclosed also includes an expandable display coupled with a display controller. The expandable display is expandable from a first size to a second size. The first size is different than the second size. A sensor is coupled to the processor. The sensor is configured to provide a signal representative of the size of the display.
Abstract:
Computer systems and methods incorporate user annotations (metadata) regarding various pages or sites, including annotations by a querying user and by members of a trust network defined for the querying user into search and browsing of a corpus such as the World Wide Web. A trust network is defined for each user, and annotations by any member of a first user's trust network are made visible to the first user during search and/or browsing of the corpus. Users can also limit searches to content annotated by members of their trust networks or by members of a community selected by the user.
Abstract:
Computer systems and methods allow users to annotate content items found in a corpus such as the World Wide Web. Annotations, which can include any descriptive and/or evaluative metadata related to a document, are collected from a user and stored in association with that user. Users are able to annotate and view their annotations for any document they encounter while interacting with the corpus, including hits returned in a search of the corpus. Users are also able to search their annotations or to limit searches to documents they have annotated. Metadata from annotations can also be aggregated across users and aggregated metadata applied in generating search results.
Abstract:
Inverse search systems and methods operate on identifiers of content items in a corpus such as the World Wide Web In an inverse search, the user submits a query that includes an identifier of a target content item in the corpus and receives information (metadata) about the target content item being returned to the user. Many types of metadata can be returned, including ratings or other metadata related to the target content item obtained from users, popularity data specific to the target content item, information about previously submitted forward search queries that led to the target content item being identified as a hit, and metadata extracted from the target content item.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods of fabricating an under bump metallization structure including an adhesion layer abutting a conductive pad, a molybdenum-containing barrier layer abutting the adhesion layer, a wetting layer abutting the molybdenum-containing barrier layer, and high tin content solder material abutting the wetting layer. The wetting layer may be substantially subsumed in the high content solder forming an intermetallic compound layer. The molybdenum-containing barrier layer prevents the movement of tin in the high tin content solder material from migrating to dielectric layers abutting the conductive pad and potentially causing delamination and/or attacking any underlying structures, particularly copper structures, which may be present.
Abstract:
A key blank, key and master keying system for a twisting tumbler sidebar lock of the type where the sidebar is blocked or unblocked by a selectively positioned longitudinally extending slider, has a key blank with a slider contacting surface on a rib on the blank below the bitting area at one of a plurality of selected predetermined locations. A key with skew cut bittings can be cut on the blank and the blank can be configured with the slider contacting surface at different predetermined locations. The slider contact area on the rib of the key blank can be divided into two horizontal portions at different predetermined locations and the slider itself can have contact surfaces also positioned at different predetermined locations so that a number of different master keying variations are possible.
