In one preferred form, the ribs have upper surfaces which are inclined so that the front edges thereof are lower than the rear edges thereof in a rotational direction of the disc.

    摘要: An input shaft of a toroidal-type infinitely variable transmission is supported at opposite ends by respective bearings which are secured to a housing, and input and output disks and power rollers are mounted at an intermediate portion of the input shaft. The input shaft has a flange at one end which is connected to an engine, and a pressure adjusting Belleville washer is interposed between the inner end face of the flange and the outer end face of the bearing to bias the input shaft in the direction of the engine so that a predetermined pressing force is applied to the input and output disks and the power rollers during a period in which a small input torque is transmitted to the input shaft. As the input torque increases, the input shaft is moved axially together with a loading cam against the spring force of the Belleville washer, and the inner end face of the flange and the outer end face of the bearing directly abut each other so that a required reaction force is obtained. In this case, since a needle-shaped roller bearing is interposed between the inner peripheral surface of the bearing adjacent the flange and the outer peripheral surface of the inmput shaft, the sliding movement of the input shaft in the axial direction encounters a small frictional resistance.

    摘要: A loading cam device is constructed of a first cam surface, a second cam surface, a ring-shaped retainer disposed between the first and second cam surfaces and defining pockets at angular intervals, and rolling members maintained in contact with the first and second cam surfaces while rotatably held within the respective pockets. The circumferential width of each pocket is smaller at each side of the retainer but greater along a thicknesswise central axis of the retainer, both compared with the outer diameter of the rolling members. As an alternative, the thickness of the retainer is a little smaller at a location adjacent to each pocket but significantly smaller at a location remote from the pocket, both compared with the thickness the outer diameter. As a further alternative, springs are disposed between surface portions of the retainer, said surface portions being on opposite sides of the retainer, respectively, and being located between each two adjacent pockets, and the first and second cam surfaces, whereby the springs resiliently urge the retainer in directions away from the first and second cam surfaces, respectively.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a lubricating oil composition for traction drive, which consists essentially of:(A) a base oil containing as the main component a saturated hydrocarbon or hydrocarbons having fused ring and/or nonfused ring,(B) an ethylene-.alpha.-olefin copolymer having a number-average molecular weight of 800 to 8,000, and(C) an anti-wear agent.The lubricating oil compositions of the present invention are effectively used in winter and cold districts, since they have a high coefficient of traction and show a limited change in the coefficient of traction at low temperatures.

This further disc is rotatably supported by an angular-type ball bearing relative to the second rotary shaft and the first-mentioned disc in the environs of the second rotary shaft in a state that this further disc is prevented from being displaced in a direction to be separated from the first-mentioned disc.
