Abstract: A seat assembly may include a seat, a first bladder assembly connected to the seat, a second bladder assembly connected to the seat, and/or an electrical control unit (ECU) configured to independently control the first bladder assembly and the second bladder assembly. The ECU may be configured to maintain a level of inflation of the first bladder assembly to provide a hugging effect to a user of the seat while inflating and deflating the second bladder assembly to guide breathing of said user.

Abstract: A seat assembly may include a seat, a biomedical sensor, a bladder assembly, a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) coil assembly, and/or an electronic control unit (ECU) connected with the biomedical sensor. The ECU may be configured to control the bladder assembly and the PEMF coil assembly, and/or to determine if a user occupying the seat is in a first state or a second state. The first state may correspond to one or more small user movements. Small user movements may include movements having magnitudes below a specified value or threshold. The second state may correspond to one or more large user movements. Large user movements may include movements having magnitudes above the specified value or threshold. The ECU may operate in a first mode when said user is in the first state and operate in a second mode when said user is in the second state.

Abstract: A seat assembly includes a seat having a seat base and a seat back, an electronic control unit (ECU), a sensor assembly, and/or a response assembly. The ECU may be configured to determine via the sensor assembly whether an occupant disposed in the seat is in a first state, a second state, or a third state. The ECU may be configured to control the response assembly to change the state of said occupant from the first state to the second state and from the third state to the second state. The ECU may be configured to determine at least one of a breathing rate, a heart rate, and a heart rate variability of said occupant via the sensor assembly.

Abstract: A vehicle trim assembly comprises a foam bun, an electrically insulative top finish layer above the foam bun, a thermal gradient assembly under the finish trim layer, and a thermal enhancement layer between the thermal gradient assembly and the finish trim layer. The thermal gradient assembly is adapted to generate a thermal gradient when receiving an electric current and has an electrically conductive top layer, an electrically conductive bottom layer, and a semiconductor layer having first and second semiconductor regions between the top and bottom layers. The thermal enhancement layer has a thermal conductivity adapted to direct thermal energy transfer between the thermal gradient assembly and the finish trim layer.

Abstract: A method for a vehicle includes using sensors in a vehicle seat to detect biometrics of a person sitting in the seat and a vehicle controller determining from the biometrics of the person whether the person requires medical attention. In response to the person requiring medical attention, a request for assistance for the person is broadcasted via a V2X transceiver of the vehicle to medical practitioners of a medical practitioner network who are near a location of vehicle during the broadcasting. The medical practitioner network includes the person as a subscriber and medical practitioners as providers. Alternately, in response to the person requiring medical attention, the vehicle controller uses an autonomous vehicle control system of the vehicle to drive the vehicle to a medical facility.
