摘要: Space division multiple access scheduling for a transmitter having an antenna array with multiple beams includes determining, and storing at the transmitter, angles of arrival of signals and identifiers from user equipments, such as cellular telephones. The user equipment identifiers are sorted at the transmitter in order of angle of arrival to form an ordered list. The ordered list is subdivided into ordered sub-lists of user equipment identifiers in order of angle of arrival. The transmitter sequentially transmits simultaneously to a group of each respective ordinal member of each sub-list of user equipments, which are well-spaced.

摘要: A digester processes animal waste and other organic matter by accelerating the natural bacterial process of digestion. This is achieved by constructing a system that mimics the natural physical dimensions and properties of a mammal's digestive tract and then accelerates the process through the selective breeding of aggressive bacteria to promote the digestion. Examples of suitable waste include but are by no means limited to animal waste, industrial waste, spent barley, kitchen waste and the like.

摘要: A system of fabricating a composite membrane from a membrane substrate using solvent-less vapor deposition followed by in-situ polymerization. A first monomer and a second monomer are directed into a mixing chamber in a deposition chamber. The first monomer and the second monomer are mixed in the mixing chamber providing a mixed first monomer and second monomer. The mixed first monomer and second monomer are solvent-less vapor deposited onto the membrane substrate in the deposition chamber. The membrane substrate and the mixed first monomer and second monomer are heated to produce in-situ polymerization and provide the composite membrane.

摘要: This invention provides certain crystallized, protein kinase-ligand complexes, in particular P38-ligand complexes, and their structure coordinates. The structure coordinates are based on the structure of a phosphorylated P38&ggr; complex which has now been solved and which reveals new structural information useful for understanding the activated states of other, related kinase proteins as described herein. The key structural features of the proteins, particularly the shape of the substrate binding site, are useful in methods for designing or identifying selective inhibitors of the protein kinases, particularly P38&ggr; and in solving the structures of other proteins with similar features. The structure coordinates may be encoded in a data storage medium for use with a computer for graphical three-dimensional representation of the structure and for computer-aided molecular design of new inhibitors.

摘要: An insert adapted to be placed between a carburetor or a throttle body and an intake manifold of an internal combustion engine is provided with a fuel manifold, a nitrous oxide manifold, and one or more burst diaphragms in a wall of said insert. Said manifolds are arranged one over the other and across an opening in said insert. A plurality of orifices extend along the length of each manifold, and are arranged to direct flow outward, downward, and radially relative to the axial flow of the fuel-oxidizer mixture through the insert.

The systems and methods allow for slurry hydroconversion using catalysts with enhanced activity. The catalysts with enhanced activity can be used in conjunction with demetallization catalysts or catalysts that can be recycled as a side product from a complementary refinery process.

摘要: Methods are provided for hydroprocessing a feed (such as hydrotreating, hydrocracking, or hydrofining a feed) to generate a product with a reduced or minimized aromatics content relative to the severity of the hydroprocessing conditions. In some types of hydroprocessing applications, it can be desirable to select the severity of hydroprocessing conditions to achieve a desired level of removal for sulfur, a desired level for removal of nitrogen, and/or a desired level for increasing the viscosity index of a feed. The severity for heteroatom removal and/or viscosity index uplift can also correspond to an amount of conversion of a feed to lower boiling point products, so the lowest severity conditions suitable for achieving a product quality can be desirable. By improving the aromatics saturation during hydroprocessing, the severity of subsequent aromatics saturation processes can be reduced.
