A water lance blower for cleaning heating installations, wherein a water lance (6) is movably (5) arranged with its mouth on or in a hatch (2) and can blow a water jet through the heating installation, which is in operation and is flowed through with flames and/or smoke, onto wall areas (A-E) which can be reached from the hatch (2), wherein the water lance (6) is configured in a shortened manner, in that the water supply (11, 10) is bent one or more times by in total more than 70.degree., preferably more than 90.degree. (20, 24; 39). In addition steadying of the flow profile is effected by an expanded calming volume (20) arranged in the end of the water lance (6) lying outside the heating installation, in particular an approximately spherical volume (20), so that the jet quality of the water lance is not impaired. The shortened water lance permits more simple drive mechanisms and adjustment to restricted spatial arrangements.

A method for assisting a driver in lane guidance of a vehicle on a roadway includes: displaying a recorded image to the driver on a display unit, which image represents the vehicle surroundings; reading in an operating signal input on a user interface by the driver; selecting an object contained in the image, using the operating signal; displaying a mark on the display unit, the mark being displayed in an area of the image which represents the object; using the object for determining at least one longitudinal control parameter for a driving route to be traveled by the vehicle in order to assist the driver in lane guidance.
Abstract:
A method for determining a structural image of a pane, the structural image being suitable for the detection of a visibility impairment of the pane, especially raindrops. The method includes a step of removing a background brightness from an image of the pane, on which image a surface of the pane is shown in focus and a background of the pane is shown out of focus, in order to determine a structural image of the pane. In a further step, accentuation of image structures present in the structural image is carried out in order to determine an enhanced structural image of the pane.

A method for determining an item of control information for displaying a driving condition of a vehicle with the aid of a display unit includes: an ascertainment of the safe driving condition of the vehicle, in which no risk of a collision with an object exists; an ascertainment of a prevailing driving condition of the vehicle in relation to the safe driving condition is carried out; a determination of the item of control information for activating the display unit based on the safe driving condition and the prevailing driving condition, the item of control information causing a display of an item of information about the prevailing driving condition in relation to an item of information about the safe driving condition by the display unit.

A method for visually displaying surroundings of a vehicle, includes recording a surrounding image field with a wide-angle lens, rectifying the surrounding image field recorded with the wide-angle lens by producing a display image field, which reproduces the surrounding image field in rectified form, and displaying the display image field. The rectification includes imaging the surrounding image field according to a rectification acting at least in the vertical direction, which shows a lower edge of the recorded surrounding image field on a lower setpoint image edge. The setpoint image edge at least approximately corresponds to an outer contour section of the vehicle. The course of the setpoint image edge differs from the lower edge. The rectification represents continuous imaging for pixels of the surrounding image field which are not on the lower edge. A related device for the visual display of surroundings of a vehicle is also described.

A method, a device, a system, and a computer program product for visualizing image data, about which there exists at least one piece of additional information are described. The steps performed for visualizing include displaying the image data as an image data image having pixels, the display further including: superimposed with respect to the image data image, at least partial display of additional information corresponding to individual pixels for generating an image data image enriched with and/or superimposed with additional information. Corresponding components are provided for visualization, in particular a display device designed for displaying further information such as additional information and the like superimposed with respect to the image data.

A method for assisting a user of a vehicle, in which driving-condition variables (v, a, q, ω, n) are sensed or ascertained via sensors of the vehicle, and a camera of the vehicle covers a coverage area of a road scene at least in front of the vehicle and outputs image signals. Based on the image signals, it is determined whether a further vehicle which is outputting blinking signals is in the coverage area. As a function of the ascertained driving-condition variables (v, a, q, ω, n) of the vehicle and as a function of the determination as to whether other vehicles are indicating a change of direction, information signals, particularly warning signals, are able to be output to the user and/or an automatic driver-assistance control is able to be implemented in which control signals for interventions in a vehicle control for a longitudinal control and/or lateral control, especially a distance control, are output. In this context, in each case different possible control interventions are able to be ascertained and carried out. Furthermore, a corresponding control device and the vehicle thereby made possible are provided.

A method for determining an accident risk of a first object with at least one second object is proposed, a collision probability and a hazard probability of the at least one second object being determined in a predefined region around the first object, the collision probability and the hazard probability being determined as a function of motions and object classes of the first and the at least one second object. The accident risk is then determined as a function of the collision probability and the hazard probability.
Abstract:
A method for controlling the drive-off of a motor vehicle in which the area in front of the vehicle is sensed using a sensor device and a drive-off enabling signal is automatically output after the vehicle stops, if the traffic situation allows. Features of the road in the area in front of the vehicle are extracted from the data of the sensor device, and on the basis of these features, at least one enable criterion is checked, a positive result indicating that the road is clear.
