    摘要: A porous clay heterostructure of a 2:1 layered silicate prepared by a gallery templated synthesis method is described. The method uses an inorganic oxide, a neutral amine surfactant and a quaternary onium ion surfactant in the galleries of the 2:1 layered silicate. The structure is then calcined to remove the surfactants which act as a template to produce the porous clay heterostructure. The structure is useful for cracking catalysts, molecular sieves and adsorbents.

    摘要: Delaminated trioctahedral smectite clay compositions are provided having a substantially delaminated interlayer structure with a face-to-edge and edge-to-edge association of the clay layers and an inorganic metal oxide intercalated between the clay layers. A process for preparing delaminated smectite clay compositions comprises reacting an admixture of a trioctahedral smectite clay having an average particle size up to about 500 angstroms and a polymeric cationic hydroxy metal complex in an aqueous medium and recovering the reacted clay solids.

    摘要: Mesoporous hexagonal, cubic, lamellar, wormhole, or cellular foam aluminosilicates, gallosilicates and titanosilicates derived from protozeolitic seeds using an ionic structure directing agent are described. The silicon and aluminum, gallium or titanium centers in the structures are stable so that the framework of the structure does not collapse when heated in the presence of water or water vapor (steam). The steam stable compositions can be used as catalysts for hydrocarbon conversions, including the fluidized bed catalytic cracking and the hydrocracking of petroleum oils, and other reactions of organic compounds.
