    摘要: A hydraulically operated power transmission apparatus transmits the output power from a power source at a selected speed ratio. The power transmission apparatus includes a casing having an opening in one end thereof, a base plate attached to the end of the casing in covering relation to the opening, the casing and the base plate jointly serving as a transmission case defining a closed space therein, a hydraulic pump having a pump drive shaft adapted to be operatively coupled to the power source, the hydraulic pump being disposed in the closed space, a hydraulic motor having a motor output shaft and drivable by a hydraulic pressure generated by the hydraulic pump, the hydraulic motor being disposed in the closed space, a pair of output shafts extending through the casing and the base plate, respectively, and disposed coaxially with each other, a differential mechanism disposed in the closed space and operable by the motor output shaft, the differential mechanism being coupled to the output shafts. The hydraulic pump, the hydraulic motor, and the differential mechanism are mounted on the base plate. The pump drive shaft, the motor output shaft, and the differential mechanism have ends rotatably supported by the base plate and opposite ends rotatably supported by the casing.

    摘要: A compact transmission apparatus for a vehicle of the type wherein an input shaft and an output shaft are provided in parallel in a casing with the shaft supported at a middle wall and the front wall of the casing. Various speed driving trains are provided in the order from front to rear of third speed, second speed, fourth speed, reverse and first speed. The second speed driving train utilizes a front clutch mechanism of a double-type clutch, while the fourth speed driving train uses the rear clutch mechanism of the double-type clutch. The driving gear of the reverse driving train is made integral with the driving gear of the fourth speed driving train. A selection mechanism is provided between the driven gears of the reverse driving train and the fourth speed driving train to select for forward, highest speed movement or reverse movement.

    摘要: A wheeled vehicle has an internal combustion engine provided with an air intake having a throttle valve. A change speed transmission drives certain of the wheels and receives power from a fluid torque converter having an impeller driven by the engine and a turbine connected to drive the change speed transmission. A clutch establishes a direct drive between the impeller and the turbine under certain operating conditions of the vehicle and the clutch operation is controlled by an hydraulic circuit. Valves and controls are provided in the hydraulic circuit and responsive to the vehicle speed to allow slipping of the clutch at low speeds and direct drive coupling of the clutch at high vehicle speeds. The clutch is further controlled by the throttle opening to limit the direct drive coupling under high vehicle speeds and large throttle openings. In one form the clutch is also controlled by a fluid by-pass mechanism to allow slipping of the clutch during low torque transmitting conditions.

    摘要: A damper apparatus for a clutch for a torque convertor wherein an opening and closing member for opening and closing a communication hole through a clutch plate comprises a pressure regulating valve having a set pressure for opening and closing and a device for adjusting the set pressure in accordance with the amount of relative turning displacement between the clutch plate and a turbine blade wheel of the torque convertor. The torque convertor generally includes an input casing connected to an input shaft, a pump blade wheel, a turbine blade wheel interposed in an internal space between the pump blade wheel and the input casing, and a clutch plate interposed between the turbine blade wheel and the input casing. The turbine blade wheel is connected to an output shaft. The clutch plate is axially movable to be engaged with or disengaged from the input casing according to a difference in fluid pressures acting on both side surfaces thereof. The damper spring mechanism interconnects the clutch plate and the turbine blade wheel for relative turning therebetween.

    摘要: An operation control system for a hydraulically operated clutch of a fluid torque converter wherein the clutch mechanically couples the input and output of the torque converter under certain conditions. Pressure chambers on either side of the clutch plate are pressurized to operate the clutch. An orifice through the clutch plate allows flow from one chamber to the other. A regulator valve is connected to both pressure chambers and is responsive thereto. The regulator valve is also responsive to external signals such as vehicle speed and throttle opening to regulate the pressure difference in the two chambers for operation of the clutch.

    摘要: A continuously variable hydraulic transmission operatively interconnects a transmission mechanism and a clutch mechanism. The hydraulic transmission includes an oil pump having an inlet port and an outlet port and a transmission ratio control member such as a swash plate which is displaceable for varying the transmission ratio between a higher-speed position, a lower-speed position, and a neutral position, an oil motor having an inlet port and an outlet port and drivable by the oil pump, a first oil passage hydraulically interconnecting the outlet port of the oil pump and the inlet port of the oil motor, a second oil passage hydraulically interconnecting the inlet port of the oil pump and the outlet port of the oil motor, a housing accommodating the oil pump, the oil motor, the first oil passage, and the second oil passage, and an oil passage control unit for selectively bringing the first oil passage into and out of hydraulic communication with the second oil passage. The oil passage control unit is fully accommodated in the housing and actuatable by the transmission ratio control member to bring the first and second oil passages into hydraulic communication with each other only when the transmission ratio control member is near the neutral position.
