    摘要: Methods of using a stimulator device in the treatment of: gastrointestinal disorders such as dysphagia, gastroesophageal reflux diseases, functional dyspepsia, gastroparesis, postoperative ileus, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhea, fecal incontinence, nausea and vomiting; gastrointestinal obstruction or pseudo-obstruction; pain and/or discomfort related to visceral organs; eating disorders, such as obesity, binge eating, bulimia, anorexia, and chemotherapy-induced emesis or emesis of other origin. The stimulator device generally includes a housing, at least two electrodes, and a pulse generator. The housing has an exterior surface and an interior surface defining a sealed interior space. The housing is constructed of bio-compatible materials and sized and shaped for transport through the gastrointestinal tract.

    摘要: A method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for determining a deformation strain distribution of a member corresponding to a selected deformation mode is disclosed. Strain measurements are obtained at a plurality of sensors, wherein each strain measurement is related to a strain at a location of the member. A component of the strain related to a selected deformation mode for the obtained strain measurements is determined and a principal strain component and a secondary strain component for each of the determined components of the strain is determined. The determined principal strain component and secondary strain component are mapped to a surface of the member to determine the deformation strain distribution.

    摘要: A method, apparatus and computer-readable medium for filtering a signal from a plurality of distributed sensors is disclosed. The signal is obtained from the plurality of distributed strain sensors. A first subspace of a measurement space of the obtained signal is selected, wherein the first subspace is characterized by a step having a selected step size. An error for a filter corresponding to the first subspace is estimated and the step size when the estimated error meets a selected criterion. A second subspace characterized by a step having the adjusted step size is selected and the signal is filtered by applying a filter corresponding to the second subspace.

    摘要: A versatile drug testing device (a lateral flow diagnostic testing device) includes a flat transparent carrier with a top and a bottom with the carrier having a series of independent parallel grooves formed therein running from adjacent to the top to adjacent to the bottom of the carrier, each groove having a first opening and a second opening above the first opening therein adjacent to the bottom of the carrier, at least one drug test strip installed in one of said grooves with its absorbent pad contiguous to the openings and a cover layer attached to the carrier operable to sealing close each of said grooves whereby the bottom of the device can be immersed in a specimen of urine, body fluid, or other biological specimen to wet the pad of the at least one test strip though the ingress of the specimen though the associated openings and the test results on the test strip can be easily viewed through the transparent carrier. Because of the unique construction the device will give accurate reading if temporarily immersed in the specimen or left in the specimen for an extended period of time, making it very user friendly.
