摘要： An under oil expulsion fuse cartridge assembly includes a tubular housing of non-electrical conductive material, an electrically conductive contact removably threadedly mounted on each end of the housing, and a replaceable fuse assembly removably received within the tubular housing. One of the end contacts incorporates a pressure chamber providing a flushing and cleaning operation during the interruption process. The fuse assembly includes a fuse liner tube in a fuse link therein in the form of a flat ribbon element electrially connected to each of the end contacts. One end of the fuse link is mounted on a thin disc which includes a plurality of projecting lands that prevent direct engagement of the fuse link with the end contact to avoid breaking the fuse link. The fuse link also includes a plurality of holes formed therethrough covered by a eutectic material having a desired melting temperature so that current interruption occurs at a predetermined operating temperature.

摘要： A continuous conductor pattern applied to a dielectric cooking utensil improves the distribution of microwave energy to the bottom surface of food being cooked. The energy is coupled from the electromagnetic field within the oven cavity by metal strip pickup probes on the hand grips or side walls which are part of the embedded metal layer. The conductor pattern on the bottom wall couples energy from the pickup probes to the central region of the utensil.

摘要： A six rib spider assembly for a fuse including a dielectic housing having end caps for supporting the spider assembly within the housing and a fusable ribbon helically wound on the spider assembly, the housing being filled with a granular dielectic material. The spider assembly including three mica plates each having a number of notches in their longitudinal edges to define support surfaces along each longitudinal edge for the fusable ribbon. These support surfaces on each longitudinal edge being offset from the support surfaces on the opposite longitudinal edge as well as from the support surfaces on each of the other mica plates. Each plate also including at least one longitudinal slot intermediate the longitudinal edges of the plate with one of the plates including a second slot, whereby the plates can be cross fitted into each other with the plates angularly related so that the support surfaces define a helical path for the fusable ribbon.

摘要： A temperature sensing transformer primary switch for a distribution transformer, the switch being mounted within the distribution transformer below the level of the dielectric fluid and being manually operable externally of the transformer for opening the primary circuit and deenergizing the transformer, the switch including a temperature sensing device mounted on the internal end of the transformer below the level of the dielectric fluid to open the primary switch in response to overload temperatures produced on the transformer's secondary circuit. The temperature sensing device includes a compression spring and a wax motor for releasing the energy stored in the compression spring as the temperature of the dielectric fluid reaches a predetermined maximum temperature. The spring is preloaded sufficiently by a manual operation to actuate the switch at the maximum temperature. A pressure responsive switch assembly is provided for opening the primary switch.
