    Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermally insulated pipe for the construction of underwater pipelines, characterized by being formed from prefabricated pipe portions welded together, each portion being constituted by two concentric tubes of different diameter which are connected together at their ends by means of special cylindrical pieces having a double T section which are welded to the two tubes in such a manner as to form between them an annular interspace which is filled with thermally insulating material.

    Abstract: In an integrated flexible installation for producing ammonia and urea, the improved method which consists in that a portion of the gaseous stream comprising carbon dioxide, hydrogen and nitrogen is fed to a complementary decarbonation area and then admixed with a portion of a similar, but non-decarbonated stream of gas prior to entering the carbon-dioxide-absorption unit. Liquid ammonia is recovered from a portion of the ammoniated aqueous solution used for abating the ammonia and sent to a distillation column to recover liquid ammonia therefrom.

    Abstract: An improved device for the distribution of liquids in a vertical heat-exchange apparatus which has reeds mounted on the top ends of vertical tubes to spread a liquid in film form over the internal surface of each tube of the tube bundle. The reeds of the invention are closed at their tops instead of being open as was common in conventional practice, and the reeds have an array of circumferential perforations near their closed tops for venting off gases and vapors which evolve from said liquid, while tangential perforations extend through the peripheral surface of the reeds in intermediate sections thereof. The pressure drop of gases and vapors can be adjusted within a wide range and corrosion in the top portion of the tubes is very efficiently prevented.
