摘要: For a biopsy guided by contrast-enhanced x-ray imaging, a breast imaging system may image a patient's breast subsequent to injection of contrast agent to locate a site for biopsy and/or position a biopsy device relative to the site. Once a tissue specimen is removed from the site for diagnostic evaluation, a confirmation that the specimen was removed from an intended area of interest for biopsy is performed using the systems and methods described herein. For example, the breast imaging system and/or a separate specimen imaging system may capture high and low energy images of the specimen, subtract the low energy image from the high energy image to generate a subtracted image of the specimen, and determine, based on the subtracted image, that the contrast agent is present within the specimen to confirm the site from which the specimen was removed is the intended site for biopsy.

摘要: A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a computer program capable of providing an easy-to-interpret image. A computer acquires, according to a computer program, a signal data set by a first inspection wave emitted in a direction inclined at a first angle with respect to a longitudinal axis direction of an imaging core used in a catheter. Then, the computer constructs an image obtained by using a direction inclined at a second angle different from the first angle with respect to the longitudinal axis direction of the imaging core as an observation target, based on the acquired signal data set.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for evaluating an X-ray image includes: segmenting the hollow organ structure in the X-ray image; determining center lines and edge boundaries of the segmented hollow organ structure and ascertaining a diameter of each hollow organ along its center line; ascertaining an image absorption value, describing the increase in absorption due to a contrast agent in the hollow organ compared to surroundings of the hollow organ, along the center line of each hollow organ; ascertaining, for each image absorption value, a theoretical computing absorption value expected when the hollow organ is completely filled with the contrast agent, by using at least the diameter and contrast agent information; determining a filling level along the center line of each hollow organ of the hollow organ structure by comparing the image absorption value with the computing absorption value; and outputting filling level information including the filling levels.

摘要: The present invention provides an improved method of PET imaging in a subject for diagnosis and/or treatment of cardiovascular related disease. The method comprises exponential function dosing based on subject body habitus. It provides improved and consistent imaging quality in comparison to fixed or linear dosing based on subject's body weight. More particularly, it relates to a method of imaging processing for diagnosing and/or identifying a risk of developing a coronary artery disease comprising administering a dose of Rb-82 to a subject, wherein the dose is calculated based on exponential squared function of body habitus of the subject; and wherein the method of imaging processing in a subject is iterative ordered-subset expectation maximization (OSEM) reconstruction method.

摘要: An apparatus, including a flexible insertion tube having a distal end for insertion into a body cavity, and first and second conduits configured to deliver first and second fluids, respectively, to the distal end. The distal end includes a first balloon coupled to the first conduit so that the first fluid inflates the first balloon and is delivered, via one or more spray ports in the first balloon, to tissue in the body cavity, a second balloon contained within the first balloon and coupled to the second conduit so that the second fluid inflates the second balloon, and multiple splines including a flexible, resilient material and extending along a longitudinal axis of the distal end, and configured to constrain the second balloon so that inflation of the second balloon creates lobes that form, along the longitudinal axis between the lobes, channels that direct the first fluid to the spray ports.

摘要: The invention provides a processor for use in a system for obtaining a blood flow velocity measurement based on an angiogram obtained from a subject. The angiogram is representative of a vessel including a contrast agent therein, and wherein the contrast agent has been provided to the vessel in bursts at a given average frequency, thereby providing contrast data within the angiogram. The processor generates a velocity curve representing the blood flow velocity within the vessel over the cardiac cycle based on an estimated period of the cardiac cycle, an estimated instantaneous blood flow velocity of each angiogram image frame, a calculated confidence value of each angiogram image frame and the estimated point within the cardiac cycle represented by each angiogram image frame.
