    摘要: A reinforced flexible hose comprising as least a first inner extruded tubular layer and at least a second extruded tubular layer with a tubular reinforcement fabric provided between said first and second hoses. The two tubes are joined so as to form a homogeneous unit by their mutual contact surfaces, by gluing or molecular adhesion, for example. The end portion of the hose increases in width so much as to make it possible to achieve a better mechanical hold with the standard junctions to which it is bound to be fixed. The thickness increases at the end portions may either be constant along its whole length, or start gradually toward the end.

    摘要: The present invention discloses the extrusion of a thermally conductive polymer composition containing a continuous core of carbon fiber reinforcing. The material is created in a machine that is configured to hold a spool containing a continuous strand of carbon fiber core material. The carbon fiber strand is unrolled off the spool and is fed into a preheating chamber to bring the temperature of the strand to a pre-designated level. The strand is then fed into a port in an extruding head on a pressure extruding machine. A molten polymer matrix is also fed into the extruding head thereby extruding the polymer matrix onto, around and between the individual carbon fibers contained in the strand. The singular extruded composite strand that emerges from the extrusion head is then cooled and deionized before cutting the composite strand into pellets of a desired length for further processing and use as injection molding feedstock. The resulting composite pellets include continuous fiber reinforcing with fiber lengths that extend for the entire length of the pellet.

    摘要: Resin soaked fiberglass strands are applied to abrasively cleaned steel pipe to increase the hoop stress. Steel pipe that is abrasively cleaned is preheated and a primer coat is applied. Fiberglass strands that are soaked with heated resin are then applied in a helical method to the pipe to induce an accelerated cure of the resin. Followed by a polyethylene wrap to protect the ouside of the composite. Allowing the coated pipe to be driven over a conveyor line. This process is continuous in which the steel pipe is wrapped from end to end, on pipe that is connected with a come-along (steel or plastic).

    摘要: Reinforcing bands of high tensile strength filaments in a cured resin matrix are in the shape of a coil having a plurality of elastic convolutions for reinforcing a weakened pipe. Areas of depressions on the exterior surface of the pipe are filled with a load transfer filler material and the bands are coiled around the pipe with adhesive holding an innermost convolution of the coil to the pipe and subsequent convolutions of the coil to adjacent convolutions. A plurality of the bands are placed in abutment with one another to cover the entire weakened area of the pipe.
