    摘要: This disclosure provides a valve actuator that has improved durability and efficiency. The valve actuator includes a housing cylinder having a pinion centrally located, running perpendicular to the cylinder, secured at the top with a circlip, sealed with o-rings and friction reducing bearings both at the top and bottom. A pair of pistons with linear gear teeth mates to opposite sides of the pinion and seals against the cylinder's interior with o-rings and friction reducing bearings. A cam, connected to the central pinion is stopped by bolts run into the cylinder at the end of both closing and opening strokes. The body is sealed with two endcaps having internal o-rings and secured with cap screws.

    摘要: An assembly for hoisting and lowering a drill string of a drilling rig includes a multiple displacement hydraulic cylinder having a blind end, a rod end, and a single piston rod configured for slidable extension and retraction movement within the interior space of the cylinder. The interior space is defined by three chambers, each chamber having a port allowing switchable flow of hydraulic fluid into and out from the cylinder. The assembly also includes a pumping and switching system with hydraulic fluid connections to each port of the cylinder. The pumping and switching system is configured to switch the direction of hydraulic fluid flow through each of the ports of the three chambers, thereby providing the assembly with a plurality of hydraulic fluid flow path combinations. Each flow path combination provides a different speed-to-force ratio for extending or retracting the piston rod, thereby hoisting or lowering the drill string.

    摘要: There is set forth herein an actuator having a housing and a piston assembly. The piston assembly can have a piston and a piston rod extending from the piston. In one embodiment, the housing can receive the piston and a portion of the piston rod. The piston assembly can define a piston assembly interior and a fluid reservoir can be located within the piston assembly interior. A chamber region within the interior of the housing can be separated by the piston assembly to define a piston side chamber and rod side chamber. The piston assembly can be moveable so that respective volumes of each of the piston side chamber and the rod side chamber are variable. For operation of the actuator by movement of the piston assembly within the interior of the housing, fluid can be moved between the reservoir and the chamber region.

    摘要: A brake cylinder piston assembly having a composite piston head having a bore formed therethrough, a cup positioned in the bore and coupled to the piston head, and a hollow rod securely welded to the cup. The cup is coupled to the piston head by a series of fingers with locking tabs that extend around the bore of the piston head and engage a rim of the cup. The bore of the piston head has two steps that correspond to the two steps formed into outside of the cup so the two step outer diameter of the cup is securely seated in the two step inner diameter of the bore. A plastic load disc having a hemispherical cavity may be positioned within the end of the hollow rod that is secured to the cup to absorb high energy hand brake releases.

    摘要: Fluid cylinder for activating an element of a drivetrain of a motor vehicle. The fluid cylinder has a cylinder housing and a piston. The piston is sealed off from the cylinder housing by means of a piston seal. At least one fluid chamber is formed between the cylinder housing and the piston, which fluid chamber can be connected via at least a first fluid connection to a fluid supply device. The piston in a piston stop position rests against a stop surface of the cylinder housing. The first fluid connection is formed in the region of the stop surface of the cylinder housing. The piston rod is inserted axially into the piston. Each of the coupling partners has an annular groove. The groove of the piston rod is an external groove. The groove of the piston is an internal groove. The grooves of the coupling partners lie opposite one another. The unit has a coupling strand which engages in the grooves of the coupling partners and is placed into engagement by insertion into an annular groove gap defined by the grooves. The engagement of the coupling strand in the grooves produces a form-locking connection between the partners. The piston rod is oversized in relation to the piston and provides an additional frictional connection.
