Abstract: A robotic system configured to, in response to a state transition intention input, change the robotic system from operating in a first mode with sensitivity to detecting state transitions at a first sensitivity level to operating temporarily in a second mode with sensitivity to detecting state transitions at a second sensitivity level that is more sensitive than the first sensitivity level. The state transition intention input indicates an intention to make a state transition from a first state to a second state, with the second state being possible from a plurality of possible different states.

Abstract: A compression garment for circulatory-related disorder therapy includes a skin contacting layer, a second layer coupled to the skin contacting layer, and connectors disposed on the second layer. The skin contacting layer and the second layer form one or more macro-chambers. Each macro-chamber is partitioned into a plurality of micro-chambers. Each of the micro-chambers is in direct fluid communication with at least one other of the micro-chambers. Each of the connectors is configured to supply pressurized air directly into at least a corresponding one of the macro-chambers such that the pressurized air is delivered to at least one of the micro-chambers within the macro-chamber. The coupling of the skin contacting layer and the second layer is along a layer attachment profile that defines the macro-chambers and the micro-chambers. At least one of the micro-chambers is linked to another of the micro-chambers by way of a plurality of openings.

Abstract: In device for placing a toe of a patient's foot in traction may broadly include a shoe portion (e.g., a sole, counter, and strap(s)); a toe attachment apparatus (e.g., a Chinese finger trap) having a cable extending therefrom; a pulley, with the cable wrapped about the pulley; and an apparatus (e.g., a ratchet, an actuator, and the like) configured to apply tension to the cable to create traction in the toe. A second actuator may adjust lateral positioning of the pulley relative to the shoe portion to set a desired angle of adduction for the traction provided to the toe by the cable. A meter may be coupled to the cable to indicate an amount of tension provided thereto. Another actuator may adjust elevational positioning of the pulley relative to the shoe portion to set a desired angle of dorsiflexion for the traction provided to the toe by the cable.
