摘要： In a vehicle having an automatic transmission and power steering, there is provided a central hydraulic system wherein flow from a pump is directed to a first flow-control valve which delivers flow up to a predetermined rate to a second flow-control valve while delivering any excess fluid flow to an aspirator which acts to supercharge the pump. The second flow-control valve delivers flow up to a predetermined lower rate to the power steering system while delivering any excess fluid flow to the transmission control system which is also receiving all of the flow from the power steering system.

摘要： A triple circuit lubrication device for lubricating a mechanical system, the lubrication device being provided with two independent lubrication circuits, a tank common to both lubrication circuits and containing a lubrication liquid, and a tertiary circuit in which a tertiary liquid flows. Each lubrication circuit comprises pipes, and respective pressure sensors, pumps, heat exchangers, spray nozzles, and suction points for sucking up the lubrication liquid situated in the tank. The second suction point is situated below the high first suction point. The tertiary circuit comprises a third pump, a third pressure sensor, the second heat exchanger, and a third heat exchanger, thus serving to cool the lubrication liquid flowing through the second lubrication circuit.

摘要： A lubrication system includes a reserve housing configured to retain a lubrication fluid. A supply line in fluid communication with the reserve housing is configured to provide pressurized lubrication fluid to the reserve housing. An overflow tube has an overflow port, the overflow tube being configured to prevent the volume of the lubrication fluid from exceeding a certain amount. A metering jet is configured to allow the lubrication fluid to flow from the reserve housing onto a component, such as a bearing, in the gearbox at a predetermined rate. The metering jet provides flow of the lubrication fluid onto the bearing even when the supply line no longer provides pressurized lubrication fluid to the reserve housing.

摘要： A gearbox assembly with emergency lubrication system includes a housing with an interior including a lubricant sump. The housing includes a breather port and a visual inspection port. The breather port is sized for at least one of relieving internal pressure or admitting air. The visual inspection port is located to allow visual inspection of a component in an interior of the housing. A transmission is disposed within the interior of the housing in fluid communication with the lubricant sump. An emergency lubricant reservoir is in fluid communication with the transmission through the breather port and/or the visual inspection port. A method of retrofitting a gear box assembly with an emergency lubrication system includes removing plugs from visual inspection ports of a gearbox housing, removing a breather from a breather port of the gearbox housing, and installing jet plugs into the respective visual inspection ports and breather port.

摘要： A continuously variable speed transmission has two adjustable sheaves and an endless chain or belt which is trained over and transmits torque between the sheaves. One of the sheaves can be driven by a prime mover, and the other sheave can drive a torque receiving device. Each sheave has a shaft, a first flange which is fixed to the shaft, and a second flange which is movable axially of the shaft toward and away from the first flange. The shaft portion between the flanges of at least one of the sheaves is located in the path of one or more sprays of a cooling and/or lubricating fluid which flows axially of the shaft and along the confronting conical surfaces of the flanges. The spray or sprays are supplied by the nozzle(s) of a conduit which receives fluid from a pump in the hydraulic system of the transmission.
