A thermal printer processible combination wristband/label form has a top portion comprising a wristband which occupies substantially the entirety of thereof and a bottom portion comprising one of several alternative embodiments of labels. The label embodiments include a plurality of individually formed labels, a plurality of labels occupying substantially the entirety of the bottom portion, and a die cut defining a label portion with pairs of nicks spaced along an upper and lower border of the die cut and between which a user may tear off labels of a desired length including different lengths. The form is produced in quantity and joined together into a fan fold strip having an overall width of a nominal two inches so as to be capable of being printed by relatively older thermal printers having a nominal two inch throat.

The present invention is directed toward a terminal marker used to identify a terminal block. The terminal marker includes a front having a print surface, a back, sides, and flexible legs. The flexible legs can be positioned in a natural state for installation in the terminal block or a compressed state for obtaining a marking from a printer. In the natural state, the flexible legs extend at an angle with respect to the print surface of the terminal marker. In the compressed state, the flexible legs extend outward beyond of the sides of the terminal marker.

Provided is a direct thermal media containing a regular repeating pattern of color-forming thermally-imageable stripes printed parallel to the print head element line and a system for using such direct thermal media in color direct thermal printers including an optical registration system optimized for use with this media and an image processing unit that monitors the position of the stripe pattern relative to the print head and synchronizes the start of the printing process. This direct thermal media together with the optical registration system and image processing unit comprise an operative system in that the design of the thermal media, the optical registration system and image processing unit used to control printing are optimized for use with each other. This system may be utilized, for example, in color thermal printers for documents, receipts, tags, tickets or labels.

An identification mat for identifying electrical components having a plurality of identification units, wherein an identification unit has a crossbar and a plurality of identification plates integrally moulded on the crossbar. The identification units are connected to one another by means of a frame, wherein the frame is provided with a guidance device for guiding the identification mat in a printer. The identification mat allows identification units to be provided which can be labelled or printed essentially using all commercially available printing methods, particularly using a thermal transfer printing method and/or an inkjet printing method. The identification mat is produced from an amorphous plastic.

The present invention includes a label, a label sheet and a method for manufacturing the label. The label includes a paper facestock having first and second surfaces and a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive proximal to the second surface. The label can be adhered to a substrate having pre-applied indicia to cover the indicia and the label is opaque enough to prevent the viewing of the covered indicia while matching the color of the substrate.

Disclosed is a label paper with RFID function, which includes a label and an RFID tag chip. The RFID tag chip, which is located on the label and comprises an embedded antenna, is used for receiving, storing and transmitting identification data. An RFID tag writing apparatus for accessing the label paper with RFID function is also disclosed.

A material sheet assembly in which a label base attached to a release liner by means of an adhesive is set in roll form is used. In a step in which the material sheet assembly is continuously fed out, the release liner is released by leaving the adhesive on the label base, and the release liner is consecutively taken up. By using a noncontact-type printer, printing is effected on the adhesive surface of the label base separated from the release liner to form a printed label. The printed label is in such a form that the printed surface is disposed between the label base and an adherend. The labels can be attached immediately after they are manufactured, and they can be stored or transported by being taken up in roll form while an additional release liner is attached to the printed surface side.
Abstract:
A versatile paperboard panel can be used to attach identifying (e.g. price) information to a wide variety of articles. A release coating is applied to a first face of the panel, and a label having an adhesive face is disposed over the panel with the adhesive in contact with the release coating. A perforation allows separation of the panel into first and second portions. The first portion contains the label, and the second portion includes an opening capable of receiving an attachment mechanism (such as a hook or string). A number of panels may be provided in a cut or continuous sheet that may be fed through a printer, the sheet having a first layer of paperboard which forms the panels, and a second layer of paper which forms the labels, with adhesive attached to the paper and a release coat to the panel. The labels are die cut from the second layer, and the panels are die cut from the first layer. Tractor holes may be provided along edges of the sheet to facilitate feeding through a printer, which prints the identifying indicia on the labels. The panels may be used by placing an attachment mechanism connected to the article into association with the panel second portion opening, or removing the label from the panel and applying it to the article, or separating the panel along the perforation and attaching the first portion of the panel (with the label still attached) to the article (e.g. by sliding it into a channel).

A method of making a label-equipped sheet and product wherein the label is die-cut from base stock constituting the sheet and held in place by a pressure-sensitive adhesive-equipped release liner, the web patch constituting the release liner having a pattern of coatings thereon including a first pattern of release material so as to leave an uncoated perimeter and thereafter overcoated with pressure-sensitive adhesive.
