    摘要: A wheelchair system includes a chip assembly configured to be coupled with a wheelchair, the chip assembly including a wireless communication chip. The wireless communication chip is programmed to, in response to the chip assembly coming within a predetermined range of a dedicated short range communication (DSRC) device of an automobile, automatically communicate, through a telecommunications network, a notification signal to the DSRC device that the wheelchair is within the predetermined range. The chip assembly includes one or more chips configured to, in response to receiving an acknowledgment signal through the telecommunications network from the DSRC device, provide an acknowledgment notification to a user of the wheelchair that the notification signal was received. In implementations a geospatial algorithm is stored within memory of the chip assembly, the assembly programmed to determine, using the algorithm, when the wheelchair has experienced an accident event, and to automatically notify one or more persons.

    摘要: A smart functional vehicle component includes a vehicle component, a leather sheet fixed over a surface of the vehicle component, a flexible electronic circuit contacting an A-surface of the leather sheet and including a printed and cured conductive ink, and a pigmented coating arranged over the electronic circuit. The circuit includes a wireless transmitter, which is configured to generate an oscillating electromagnetic field when an associated portable electronic device is within a predetermined distance from the wireless transmitter. The circuit may also include an electronic element such as a light source, a sensor, or a switch. When the circuit includes a light source, the pigmented coating inhibits or prevents the circuit and the light source from being visible through the pigmented coating, but light emitted by the light source is visible through the pigmented coating.

The seat belt buckle has a buckle housing, a locking mechanism, an insertion slot for a belt latch of the seat belt, an actuating button for release purposes, and an illuminating device which has at least one light source and is arranged in the seat belt buckle. The buckle housing has a light-permeable and annularly closed light outlet opening from which the coupled-in light provided by the illuminating device emerges. The light outlet opening surrounds the actuating button and/or the insertion slot in an encircling manner.
