A method and system for choosing the control processor for booting a multiprocessor system (10) in accordance with a memory (42). A computer system (10) includes a plurality of computer processors (12). The processors (12) use a memory bus (18) to communicate with the main memory (20). A second bus (30) connects the processors (12) to an interupt controller (34). The second bus (30) includes multiple bus request lines (14). An initialization control circuit (32) also communicates with the second bus (30). Memory (42) in the initialization control circuit (32) holds data identifying at least one of the processors (12) and when power is first provided to the system, the initialization control circuit (32) operates to assert signals on the bus request lines (14) such that the identified processor initializes the computer system.

Processes for making particularly branched, especially monomethyl-branched or nongeminal dimethyl-branched surfactants used in cleaning products; preferred processes comprising particular combinations of two or more adsorptive separation steps and, more preferably, particular alkylation steps; products of such processes, including certain modified alkylbenzenes, modified alkylbenzenesulfonate surfactants, and consumer cleaning products, especially laundry detergents, containing them. Preferred processes herein more specifically use specific, unconventional sequences of sorptive separation steps to secure certain branched hydrocarbon fractions which are used in further process steps as alkylating agents for arenes or for other useful surfactant-making purposes. Surprisingly, such fractions can even be derived from effluents from current linear alkylbenzene manufacture.

Modified alkylbenzene sulfonate surfactant mixtures comprise a mixture of specific branched and non-branched alkylbenzene sulfonate compounds, and are further characterised by 2/3-phenyl index of 257-10000. Detergent and cleaning products containing these mixtures are also claimed.

An automatic keyboard testing apparatus includes a pair of support arms fixed to a machine frame for supporting a keyboard to be tested therebetween. A clamping device secures the keyboard between the support arms. A test module has testing units for operating/testing pushbuttons, a knob and indictors of the keyboard. A key actuating device comprises a plurality of key depressing elements movably mounted thereto. Each key depressing element forms a pressurized air stream outlet for applying a pressurized air stream to a corresponding key of the keyboard for actuating the key. A conveyor mechanism moves the key actuating device across the keyboard for sequentially actuating the keys of the keyboard. A keyboard coupling device electrically couples the keyboard to a processor-based determination device to receive signals therefrom for determining if the tested keyboard is properly functioning. A warning device is connected to the determination device for giving off a warning signal when the keyboard fails the test.

The engine speed remains substantially constant and no or substantially no torque is transmittted to the output shaft of the transmission.

Abstract:
A multi-channel modulator for the transmission of telephony signals within a broadband communication system. An interpolation module generates processed I and Q signal components by upsampling filtered I and Q signal components. In turn, these processed I and Q signal components output by a filter are passed to a set of channel modulators. Each channel modulator accepts a pair of processed I and Q signal components and, in response, modulates a selected carrier signal with one of the telephony signals to produce a complex modulated signal. An adder module responds to the complex modulated signals by summing the real signal components to produce a real resultant signal, and to sum the imaginary components to produce an imaginary resultant signal. A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) module coverts the real resultant signal and the imaginary resultant signal, which are represented by digital data streams, to analog signals. A transmitter, responsive to the analog signals, transmits the modulated signals within a frequency band of the broadband communications network.

A computer aided design system assists the user in defining and editing geometric objects. It proposes several useful geometric relations between the cursor position and the already defined geometric object independent of the cursor position. The user may accept one of the proposals, or reject all of them. For example, if an already defined circle is within the catch range of the cursor position, the system proposes to draw a line from the cursor position to the center of the circle, and it proposes tangents from the cursor position to the circle.

An example debris removal apparatus includes a shaft, an energy source, a motor, a fan attached to the motor, and a switch. The shaft has a lengthwise axis, a first end, a second end, a first portion, a second portion, a third portion and defines an opening on the second end, a passageway in fluid communication with the opening, and a plurality of inlet openings on the third portion of the shaft in fluid communication with the passageway. The motor is operatively connected to the energy source and disposed between the plurality of inlet openings and the second end of the shaft. The motor has a lengthwise axis extending through a drive shaft. The lengthwise axis of the motor is parallel to the lengthwise axis of the shaft. The switch is operatively connected to the motor.
